AIBU?

To wonder how much Mrs Hinch spends in the average day?

I'm on maternity leave now and have no life so I'm noticing all kinds of busybody things like the next door neighbours leaving their front door wide open all night and shit like that.

I've seen some of Mrs hinch on insta today.
Cleaning and motivational yada yadas alright if you don't mind the amount of chemicals & fumes but by god is most of it not just daily updates of "bought this" "swipe up for the link to these I bought"

I'm not cheap by any means but who buys so much crap each day, like her house isn't that big, and I'm sat wondering what she's done with all of last weeks storage boxes and shite because I have no life

Does she donate it all? Is it all gifted? Nobody can keep up with that much shopping for one household.

I'm on my own here aren't I? Grin

I think Mumsnet might have reached peak Hinch.

I don’t think she’s actually buying the stuff every time she talks about it.

She's a one trick pony and I'm sick of watching her clean her sink with 20 different products. I don't think all those chemicals will be good for her new baby's little lungs. 😱
I don't think she actually does much with her time. Just films herself "hinching" and then sits and shops online for crap to advertise to us peasants.
Everything her baby has been gifted so far has been grey! Poor baby boy will not even be allowed to have colour in his life! Wait until her house is full of plastic toys 🤣🤣🤣

She must have one of those closets Monica has

I feel she's offering a link, it will be an affiliate link, thereby indicating that this isn't something she's "bought"- it's a spon.

If, not I feel.

Also the filming of herself stroking her damn dogs paw each night is utterly ridiculous and so tedious! I have a dog whom I adore but c'mon! I see the stories and I question myself why I've just watched this woman stroke her dog paw for the millionth time! 😫

Haha yes she has a Monica closet for sure Grin

My friend moved recently and painted his whole house grey. It looks very dark and small
I also wondered where he had got his penchant for zoflora from and also a huge vase of fake flowers in a silver urn on top of the cooker exactly the same as she does. It’s a fad

@Don'tFindYourselfInMe, yes the whole thing with her 'first baby 'enry 'inch' is really annoying.
I suspect 'enry's 'wet nose' is going to be very much out of joint when the actual baby arrives.

If people are sick of watching then don't watch?? Nobody is forcing you. She's doing no harm and seems like a really nice, down to earth person.

She’s probably gifted or paid to link stuff (affiliate links). It was announced today that ‘influencers’ must be more transparent about what they’re paid for under new rules, will be interesting to see if they become more open.

A lot of it seems to be massive piles of stuff and she's saying "look what I picked up at the shops today" with videos of her at the shops picking the items - who buys that much?

Or swipe up for the link for the storage boxes I bought, but she does often state "I bought"

I watched it last night and it was just cheap stuff from Aldi

I do worry about the amount of chemicals she uses. I had to admit I got inspired and did a bit of “hinching” (aka cleaning..) and after using two products (separately, I would never mix products) I felt a bit sick. I’m sure she’ll be a lovely mum but I just worry about all the strong chemicals around a tiny new born. She seems to be obsessed with nice smells but those smells are so artificial 😩

Also I’m not sure how long her carpets will last with the amount of stuff she puts on them. I have that carpet fresh thing and it’s lovely but I would never use it every day!

I do think the stuff she buys is cheap and useful so promoting it is fine. Not like all these bloggers with their £800 bags and £90 candles

Aww I like Mrs hinch, I hate her grey house and I think her cleaning obsession is mad but I do like to watch her stories sometimes!
Most of what she buys seems to be storage, cleaning products or random ugly grey home decor things. She must charity shop things regularly.

She's doing no harm

She’s doing no harm?! What about all the chemicals she’s spraying about multiple times each day? She’s being very harmful to the environment.

It can’t be healthy to be inhaling all that smelly stuff all day either.

She’s is promoting a style of living that will hasten the destruction of the planet. She is doing quite a bit of harm in the pursuit of money.

Nothing, because everything she has is #gifted. You’d be better asking how much her followers spend buying her products in a day!

Mrs Hinch is the Mumsnet focal point for tedious virtue signalling.

There are endless posts of dressed up faux concern about the environment, her unborn baby, her dog and her financial situation from people who I am absolutely confident aren’t protesting weekly at airports about environmental damage, or even checking to make sure that the low cost t-shirt they bought wasn’t made by some poor girl working in indentured servitude in a factory in Calcutta that’s dumping tonnes of toxic chemicals into rivers on a daily basis.

The reality is, your noses are out of joint because you don’t see why Mrs Hinch should be so famous and successful for doing something most people can apparently do. And that resentment is dressed up as concern trolling, mum shaming and armchair environmental activism.

I thought I wasn’t going to like her based on MN but she seems pretty normal and OK. I don’t think I will be becoming obsessed by her but who knew that pet hair dissolver existed!!!
Also if I move house I might use some of her cleaning tips

Ladyoftheloch - there is a big middle ground between using the chemicals and plastic bottles Hinch uses and protesting at airports over environmental concerns. You don’t have to dedicate your life to environmental campaigning to give you the authority to point out that promoting the endless use of chemicals and plastic containers is a bad thing. Many of us live a normal life trying to reduce our impact on the earth in small ways and one of those ways is gently pointing out that people need to think before slavishly following fads like hinching.

I just looked at her page and I've never seen such a boring over styled house! I can't wait to see how she copes with the mountains of vtech coming her way! 😂
