DH says it’s fine to put a slice of left over pizza in DD2’s packed lunch tomorrow. I say it’s disgusting. WIBU?

If she likes it, it’s fine.

Cold pizza is better than hot pizza. YABU.

I love cold leftover pizza. I'd say it's fine as long as there's other healthier stuff.

It’s hardly going to be any worse than some of what’s served up in school canteens

YABU - nothing wrong with cold pizza.

Just think of it as a cheese and tomato sandwich.

That's my DS's favourite packed lunch! Whats wrong with it? Sometimes he has cold chicken goujons too!

Grin I defer to MN wisdom. The idea makes me feel sick.

If she likes it it’s fine, so long as the school won’t take it off her - I know the packed lunch police are getting more and more strict these days. Where we live, even toddler groups only allow water and fruit in the building! I got my Diet Coke confiscated yesterday and felt like a naughty child!

I'd be royally pissed off if some jobsworth took cold pizza off my child at lunch time. I don't disagree with some rules being in place around packed lunches, but some of the restrictions I've heard about are just plain stupid.

I often make pizza the day before so that I can put it cold into their lunches the next day - it’s not leftovers as such but it’s still cold pizza. It’s one of their favourites. Why does the idea repel you so much?

It’s also fab when cut into strips and eaten with soft boiled eggs for breakfast :)

At university I’d sometimes order a dominos, eat half, and then have the rest for breakfast. Hot or cold. It’s your DD who’s going to be eating it, not you!

It’s a good lunch imo if balanced with some fresh stuff. But schools don’t like stuff like that in lunchboxes so be prepared for it to be a problem with the school.

My DD13 takes cold pizza or lunch everyday, her choice.

I love cold pizza! Whenever we have pizza I make extra and then my DP and I take cold pizza to work the next day for lunch.

I've never liked Pizza but 'disgusting' is rather OTT.
Do you have food issues?
My DGS regularly has bight size bits of pizza in his lunch box.

I make pizza from scratch (dough, sauce etc too) and then eat what's left the next day for lunch.

It's fine.

Why would it be disgusting?

@blackcoffeeredwine the horror Shock. My Playgroup actually sells the stuff to us Grin

Do they still offer tea and coffee? Cos if so I don't see how a diet coke is any worse... Next time tip it into a travel mug.
