I think it’s great for people who regret things, etc.

Saw it at the end of that film in cinemas.

I've tried living by that mantra before but I always forget sentiment by lunchtime! cynical

No offence, OP - I actually like the phrase and think it’s a great way of drawing a line under past experiences and letting go!

My mother has a fancy handwritten wooden thing hanging up in her study that says ‘life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain’.

I think she thought the gentleman at the craft fair who sold it to her had invented the saying and is incredibly clever and philosophical for someone sat in the corner of a village hall in the middle of nowhere selling his wares.

I think he’s incredibly clever for selling pierces of useless wood to unsuspecting passers by who love silly platitudes for £30 each.
