AIBU?

To ask how long your 'everyday' shoes last and where you buy them from?

Just that. I wear plain, low-heel, sensible shoes for work and, although I probably do walk more than most people, they don't seem to last that long before the heels are falling apart or they let in water. Where's best for long lasting, good quality shoes?

I wear very high heels for work and lower ones to commute in - that way they both last longer.
You do need to resign yourself to reheeling them regularly though.

Hotter. They are not beautiful but i have bunions and a job where I'm walking and standing all day. I wear them most days (often weekends as well) and this pair have lasted almost a year. They cost a lot up front unless you can find them on ebay

I wear Doc Martens. My favourite pair are 20yrs old, my newest are 5yrs old. Probably have 8 pairs and wear all of them regularly. All immaculate.

Clarks. I have several pairs of loafers and so far I've cycled them for about 4 years.

I have a pair of Doc Marten shoes that I have worn for 20 years and they are still going strong. They have had beds and trolleys run over then, coped with 13 hour shifts - am still wearing them - they'll see me out!

I wear heels from M&S for work (on my feet a lot but not necessarily walking very far if that makes sense). I had some loafer type shoes from Russell and Bromley that wore through really quickly. M&S or Clarks seem to give me best value for money. But I commute in trainers.

Skechers go walks are all I can wear cos I have a bunion and stupidly sore feet. Cost about £50 but last ages and are sonconfy!

All my shoes are from Clarks (very boring but they always fit my feet!) and I only ever have 2 pairs on the go. I usually get a few years out of each pair but not always. The quality has definitely dropped over last 5 years or so.

All 3 of my current pairs of work heels (they're from Gianvito Rossi) have been with me for about 2 years now. I rotate them everyday, and have walked quite a fair bit in them. Still in tip top condition!

Clarks or fly London. I wear converse to commute in sometimes.

Hotter here too: had 2 pairs for over a year and still going strong.

My work shoes are over 10 years old and I wore them constantly for about 7 years (not so much now I work part time).
They are black court shoes from Ferragamo. Cost me about £180 at the time, but very good value for the amount of wear. The sole/heel has only been mended once in that time and they look practically as good as new.

Hotter shoes for me too! Do a search for "hotter outlet", and get them half price !

Hotter for me too. I teach reception so I spend a lot of the day up and about or crawling on the floor. Mine have lasted for about 2 years of being worn nearly every day.

Same, but mine certainly aren't immaculate! Probably because I tend to not change them when I go to the yard. Blush

Clarks. Think they have a sale on at the moment. Some of their styles are quite stylish nowadays, and in fact, our 18 year old at work wears them.

Fit Flop boots here. So comfortable and 'boingy'

I stick to Doc Martens or Converse for walking/cycling to work (and summer work at the allotment!) and keep a couple of pairs of smart leather Pavers or Clarks shoes under my desk at work. That way everything lasts longer.

I walk a lot too - resigned myself to two pairs for my commute/work.

Do you have a dress code at work ? I've got a pair of puma ankle boots that I've had for years, but I've also worked in places where they wouldn't pass the dress code.

M&S especially the footglove range, very comfortable

Doc Martens here too. The ones I wear daily last about 2 years before they get too scruffy. The ones that I wear less often never seem to wear out.

Clarks brogues are lovely. I have some M&S leather ballet flats which just aren't standing up to work as they're scuffing.
