Just NO.

AIBU?

Middle aged male visitor is sitting there right now, with DH in the kitchen. His DD I think has a pack of the things (I hate them anyway but kids I can forgive)

And he's sucking one.

He's making little "Shlep" noises when he takes it out again.

I'm so grossed out right now. This is a big grown man of 47.

I love a lolly pop. It's just a boiled sweet on a stick so im not sure why adults shouldn't eat them.

The noise thing is gross though so fair enough being annoyed at that.

Adults with lollipops are ridiculous. YANBU! I am with you on this.
Same goes for adults eating any kiddie junk cereal breakfast like coco pops or that shit sugary Frosties. Or eating cheap sweets like Haribo. The Haribo ads always make me laugh with the adults with toddler voiceovers in them. Brilliant!

I'll eat what I want thanks. YABU - who made you the food police? Just mind your own and hope nobody's judging you.

Wee it's the "on a stick" part that annoys me. I don't know why. It's just not needed!

I sucked lollies in the first few awful days of giving up smoking. Only in my own home though!

I think YAB a bit U, but some people find things more annoying than others. It wouldn't bother me to be honest.

I know people who think grown women having soft toys is pathetic, in fact a woman I used to work with was incredibly spiteful and nasty to me when I was about 25, because my boyfriend at the time (now my DH), had bought me a toy bunny for Easter. 'What are you FIVE?' she sneered.

I think she was a jealous bitter cow, because she was 10 years older, and had never had a relationship last longer than 2 weeks. But that's another story.

YABU. Who gives a shit that a grown man is having a lolly pop? How does it affect you in any way?

I've never seen an adult sucking a lollipop. I would judge, and judge harshly.

I hate boiled sweets at the best of times, so one shackled to the end of a stick makes even less sense.

For some reason the sight of a grown up eating ice cream from a cone disturbes be in a similar way. I work in a shop near a really popular ice cream shop and as soon as the sun comes out every second person through the door has a melty, drippy ice cream that that are slurping at. It turns my stomach a bit.

Strangely though it wouldn't bother me in a park or on the beach.

As if things personally affecting people has ever stopped the mass international pastime of hoiking up the judgy-pants.

TheDowagerCuntess No, but it might make them realise it's a stupid thing to get angry about.
