Are there links to the whole of Melissa McCarthy's sketch yesterday? I've had a quick scour but can't see anything I can access in the uk yet.

It's up on the SNL channel on YouTube and very, very funny. "Guantanamo... BOOM!!" DH is laughing his head off.

Not too sure how I feel about SNL etc. There was a 30 Rock episode about a terrible politician who the team satirised, and after initially being banned from doing so by his people, they were encouraged to as it humanised him and made people laugh and think he was just silly rather than dangerous. That's a little bit how I feel about it somehow (even though it's far from fond portrayals).

(Just realised I may have commented about that before. But my ambivalence remains!)

SNL annoys Trump. For that reason alone, I think they should continue prodding.

I look at SNL as fighting back. It creates tension in the WH admin. IMO anything that might divide them and manage to destroy that inner circle is a good thing I think

I also like how women actors are parodying men. It must really piss them off!

Great thread. Better than those other so-called threads.

I'm pretty sure that's deliberate. Apparently a woman playing Spicer particularly annoyed Trump. I reckon we can expect all new cameos to be women dressed as men - just like Sessions last night.

Damn right it does!

'More than being lampooned as a press secretary who makes up facts, it was Spicer’s portrayal by a woman that was most problematic in the president’s eyes, according to sources close to him'
