Alas my list comes to significantly more ... good smoked salmon, capers (the giant ones), duck pate, champagne/cremant, good cheeses - smellier the better, olives

A frozen turkey joint and cranberry sauce to make Christmas sandwiches or baguettes on the run up to Christmas

Home made mince pies

Mince pies, amaretto, blackberry whisky, Baileys, homemade biscuits in metal tins, pringles (for DP), trays with dry fruit and nuts, hot chestnuts, more than 2 types of cheese in the fridge, turrón, Spanish cold cuts

Collectively:

chicken breast with skin on to roast for DS and the cats (DH, DD and I are vegetarian)
a red plastic tub of Family Circle biscuits
a metal tin of shortbread (not flavoured ) from M&S or Sainsbury with a judgey looking deer on the lid
Neidregger plain chocolate covered marzipan
J2O orange&passionfruit
Fentimans ginger beer and Roses cordial
Sainsbury bakery shortcrust mince pies
Tivalli sweetcorn schnitzel for Christmas Eve
After Eights , regular ones , no fancy flavours
Panatonne and lemon curd or clementine curd if I can find it
Terrys Chocolate Orange
Chestnuts with the sprouts
Roast potatoes made with Maris Pipers
Yorkshire Puddings , I make two trays in the flat YP tins and will them to rise !
One trip to Costa/Starbuck to see what festive drinks are on offer
Festive Beer for DH and Smirnoff Ice for DD

Takeaway on the 23rd from a brilliant local Chinese resturant , DH has the leftovers for breakfast

I have a list in my Christmas Notebook to add to as I think of things Xmas Grin

You are thinking of walnuts/hazelnuts
Fresh chestnuts, slash the skin and roast them.
We have a fire for first time and I will be roasting some this year in there.
It reminds me of Christmas because in Spain is really common to find people roasting them in the streets in Christmas/cold season

Chocolate salami is my fave just cos it’s so random and we used to make it at work (and it’s delicious).

Epic cheese and charcuterie platter for me and DH as Xmas eve dinner!
