Does anyone have or know where I can get a copy that still has the when love is gone song in it? I'm gutted they cut it out and I can't find one anywhere.

I don't think it's ever been included in the DVD release, but my vhs copy from 1993 had it! I don't think any further issues of the vhs included it, though. Your best bet is probably ebay, and look for a first release video.
I don't know why they cut it out. I know it's not a typical "Muppet" type song, but it suited the scene (and explained why Rizzo the Rat was crying!)

Yeah, I bought the DVD and noticed they'd cut it. God knows why, as the song they sing at the end is the same song, just 'the love we found' instead of 'the love is gone'.

I've bought about three copies in recent years. It's always cut.

It spoils the scene completely. I'll never understand why they did that.

I wondered where it had gone after watching on sky movies the other day. My copy (early 2000's) had it in. Why would they cut, it's part of the plot?

Apparently the original cinema release didn't have it because test studies showed kids got restless. They added it back for the video release but then someone decided after 10 bloody years that nobody would like the film with the song in. So annoying.

I was furious to discover this. I usually pause the film and find the clip on YouTube. How sad is that? I had the original on a video but my parents got rid of it as it stopped working because I'd watched it so much. Does anyone know if it will be in the film if it's shown on TV?

Yeah it's supposed to be just after fozziwigs party. I'm pretty sure it won't be in the film if it's shown on TV.

They show the film at picturehouse cinemas kids club session ( next Saturday at our one- woo hoo ) and the song was still in it last year. My favourite.
