Tesco delivery slots 2013

Just had an email from Tesco. Priority access to these slots will be released early on Wednesday 2?7th N?ovember 2?013 for delivery saver customers.

perky, I have a delivery saver but it says Wed 27th for Tescos - is yours a different supermarket?

God, the scramble for ocado slots began in mid-October. I just put a few bottles of vodka to secure the slot. Adding to it now and again!

wonders what a delivery saver is, never having done an online supermarket shop

Delivery saver means you pay an upfront fee and they deliver your shopping for cheaper than it would normally cost. For example, I pay £60 for six months and tesco will deliver every day if I want them to, for free. They generally visit me twice a week with lots of crates of pre ordered goodies.

And my email from tesco said I can book from the 27th. I'm wondering what time the slots come out, how early will I need to get up?

I bloody hate this scramble for slots. When they started doing the delivery saver thing I reverted to actually shopping and it wasn't so bad

I don't put much faith in my Christmas shopping slot anyway. One year they didn't turn up because of the snow, and both other years important things were missing or not available, meaning I had to physically go out to shop for them anyway.

I will book a slot this year, but for about the 22nd so I still have time to go out and buy what I will actually need!

Shiny, I do the same. I always book the order for about the 23rd, then run out early on Christmas Eve for anything else.

Just to let you know that the Xmas slots are already on for Delivery Saver customers. They appeared around 10.30pm & I've already booked my slot for 23/12.

I happened to be online doing this week's shopping and just noticed them there, all shiny and new.

Booked for 23rd December, when I get back from work - hoorah!

At midnight after a lot of faffing it only came up to the 23rd, then this morning the 24th was all booked out. Snot fair.

We formed a nice orderly queue for the Waitrose slots at the end of the summer (or so it feels like) :o
Have mine booked for 23rd, must remember to put some actual proper food in the basket and not just the "holding" bottles of wine :o
