I'm having some work done on my kitchen floor so all the contents of my kitchen, tumble dryer etc are in the living room.

I'd it okay to grab the driver at front door and have bags there to put shopping in?

I usually have driver come through to kitchen.

Thanks in advance

That's what I do with my shopping. I have a variety of strong bags, containers and just unpack from the shopping crates into those.

When I used to get my mum's shopping delivered, I'd tell her to bring her shopping trolley to her front door and the drivers (who were always lovely to her) would help her pack into her shopping trolley and bags. 🌹

Absolutely fine! This is how I always do it (I have a tiny house and a tiny kitchen).

Driver stacks the crates up on the front door step, and I shove everything into bags. We usually have a nice chat while I'm doing it.

Okay that's great. I suffer with Generalised Anxiety Disorder and wasn't sure if this was still okay as I haven't been in this position since COVID

I've literally never had them come in my house. They drop it right in front of the door. Sometimes I even meet them in the drive if I can't be asked to put the dog away.

Why would that not be OK? Like really, what is it you think would be the problem?

The delivery guy was really nice and insisted on packing my bags for me. Nothing to be stressed about at all.

It never occurred to me that they would bring stuff into the house, mine always just leave it on the mat just inside the door....

I usually always have them bring the shopping into the kitchen so hadn't done the doorstep thing since COVID I realise now it's a silly thing to be anxious about but hey welcome to my world filled with anxiety. 😟
