The Joe revenge storyline has been pants. If they want him to stay then like other bad eggs they have had to calm him down and rehabilitate him (like Kerry, Tracey, Frank, Ross, Cain, Robert etc). they have just done it quite quickly.

The Laurel/Bob storyline is pants too - he is just looking for a cosy billet Laurel! Don't listen to your Dad's advice.

I can't bear seeing Bernice grovel to Daz." Handy to live with her to avoid a Granny's spare room" - not long ago he was on the streets. How time flies in a soap.

I zoomed through the Nicola and Jimmy stuff - why are all the villagers so impressed by a Doctor?? It's not the 1950's.

I don't think Joe is remotely reformed after pulling the stunt he did with the lawyer for livs trial. Then again we all happily ignore the whole rob killing Katie and shooting paddy thing so I guess anything goes

Yeah they morals on Emmerdale are confusing Robert has done so many awful things but we're all supposed to be rooting for him. And I found Robert to be a lot more arrogant and scheming than Joe.

I don't remember Robert ever shooting Paddy. I seem to remember he tried to kill him by pushing him into some kind of slurry pit on the farm and Paddy was only saved because Andy came along. Robert also hired a hitman to kill Chas once - wonder if Aaron ever found out about that?! Moira the murderer who slept with her nephew and beat her husband to a pulp walks around like butter wouldn't melt so anything goes in that village really!

I don't think they can fully rehabilitate Joe as they need at least one villain now that Robert has turned over a new leaf.

That episode was riveting stuff. I had seen a spoiler saying Robert was going to shoot Paddy and I was so engrossed I completely forgot and got a shock when it happened!

The whole Bob/Laurel story is awful - not an ounce of chemistry between those two - and why has Doug suddenly had a complete change of heart? One minute he was calling Bob everything under the sun and wanting his guts for garters and now suddenly he's encouraging Laurel in this nonsense.

Glad Gabby and Arthur were disgusted!

Not that I give a hoot but I think Dan has misunderstood the letter.

Don't DNA result letters just say that there is 99.9% probability that the donor is not the biological father?

If this is the case then I reckon Dan has read it that HE is not the father when his sample was never tested. It was only samples from Daz and Amelia and if the letter did read this way then Dan IS the father.

That's my theory anyway as we have never seen the letter. I am such a saddo

I think so to JaneJeffer, I reckon Lachy will start plotting to get rid of him, it'll be a shame because Gerry is one of the best ones in it.

Laurel I agree is a completely selfish cow and even more unlikeable now than she was before. In real life I doubt she would be as well liked in a small village as she appears to be except by the men.

As if she asked Bob to move in after how upset Arthur and Gabby were and both of them moving out

I actually quite liked Lachlan despite the horrible things he has done because Thomas Atkinson is so good at making him a chilling baddie even though he is so young. But tonight was just horrible . If he'd just walked away and not got help that would have been bad enough.
