what do you wear with jeans/trousers? I like the look of converse but feel they don't look good with my large feet and not very great height.

interesting socks with the sandals or coloured tights. sock dreams have an amazing range of tights and socks. I've ordered a couple of times and am v.pleased, lots of questions about where I got my socks from...also tabio was featured in the Guardian and looks pretty good.
I just got in a mixture of dark red, ochre, teal, navy, camel, olive and dark mustard to wear mixed up for this season.

deaddei - sorry, only just saw your post - I got them from topshop online, but last xmas. But I do find that topshop online is quite good if you keep trawling through it to see what's there in big sizes (before they all sell out)

Sorry I haven't read the whole thread. But this thread is like saying It's too cold for a bikini but too warm for a fur coat.

Not particularly cool, but I've got some of those desert boots (I think that's what they're called), they're comfy and a nice forest green colour.

I have these, they are super comfy, I love the fact they make me taller and they look great with my flared jeans.

I've got a pair of loafers from Geox that I wear loads at this time of year. Just had a quick look on their website and can't see anything casual that looks nice in this season's collection.

converse (large foot size is ok, IMO)

or old-school type trainers (Adidas, Dunlop etc)

shoe-boots if you want a heel

ballet type shoes, i like rocket dog though some have torn my feet up. find they go grotty pretty quickly though (why is that?). wore converse as a teen and then went off them for about 10 yrs thinking they gave me flipper feet. back into them now, they are comfy and they look fine on everyone else so they must look ok.. i like the levi´s imitation converse, the high top bit folds down so not too flipper like..

I think I'm with you on this Captain. I see other people wearing ballet pumps/converse etc and think they look lovely, but just can't do it, feel ridiculous. I have this dilemma every year, still looking for an answer!

i do believe it's my only irrational area with clothes - i cannot stand narrow flat shoes (also a 7). with a heel they're shorter so it's much less of an issue. naked, or in sandals, they look lovely, but put them in enclosed flat shoes - particularly with narrow trousers/leggings and they look ridiculous (to me). but throughout my teenage years i wore docs and army boots, so i'm clearly just warped

Do you think ballet shoes look ok on long feet? I always worry my feet will enter the room two minutes before the rest of me.

I just went from sandals yesterday morning, to boots in the afternoon! Yay, I love boot season. Don't do trainers. However, I compromised with ballet flats today.
