Gorgeous maxi skirts/dresses - recommendations please!

So, I have been on the hunt for YEARS for the perfect maxi skirt, or even dress. I hate my legs, and never get them out, so it needs to be long with no slits up the sides. I’m also a pear shape so needs something that won’t emphasise my hips and bottom 🙈
I’d love to find something super comfy, that I can wear for eg school pick up without feeling self conscious about being out of the jeans I usually live in. Would also be thrilled to find some smarter skirts too.
Thanks so much for any suggestions or advice!!

Kemi Telford isn’t cheap but the skirts are the most flattering and comfy I’ve ever had.

Thank you, I've ordered it!

@thebestever I bought a large to see me through my pregnancy. I’m normally a 10-12 in dresses. The shape hangs well if it comes up a bit big because the top part is loose. I have another in the same shape from years ago which is a 12 and it still fits me now pregnant.

@JhsLs

I know this sounds mad, but I bought two of these on eBay:
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-WOMENS-PUFFBALL-BALOON-TOGA-MAXI-DRESSES-LADIES-LONG-SUMMER-DRESS-HOLIDAY-/142912436363?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249

I am pear shaped and pregnant and they are a god send! Stretchy, jersey material, super flattering, hang well, not clingy on lumps and bumps. I’m a teacher and one parent said I looked glamorous at pick up (31weeks pregnant) 🤣🤣🤣

Could I ask about sizing with this EBay maxi? I'm more of a 10-12 - would you say it comes up big or small? Thanks!

I’m a talk pear and have this:
www.silkfred.com/boutiques/ruby-rocks/clothing/vintage-wrap-maxi-dress-eastern-peacock-navy
It’s really long but quite low just so you might need a cami under it.

This is the one I bought. It isn't really maxi, more a long midi on me (I'm 5'7")

I bought a maxi dress from Asda in that exact shape a couple of years ago and it's brilliant. I've been trying to find a replacement as I've basically worn it to death now - thank you!

I love some of the Holy Clothing maxi dresses, not their cosplay/historical styles.

These though I love:

I am wearing this now, so comfy and lightweight, perfect in this weather.

I love that Roman Originals one. I have just bought a lovely maxi dress from Seasalt. It isn't on their website though.

I tried this recently. It's fitted at the top and then floaty. The colour wasn't for me but I think it's the sort of thing you're looking for.

Another vote for Zara, I'm not sure what's in at the moment, but I've got some fantastic cotton maxi skirts from them previously.

I am always on the look out for a maxi or midi dress with a fitted top half, so almost like a skater dress type fit but long! Does that make sense ? That style is just way more flattering on me

I do have a lovely one, I got it from a really cheap shop called "Select" a few years ago but it's getting old now 😔 .

If anyone has any suggestions let me know

Marks is a good call, they have some excellent collaborations right now with Ghost and NobodyÅ› Child.

The latter have done some very on trend maxis with a square neck and full, light sleeves. Emphasising the neckline draws attention from the hips, and the style balances them out a bit (tend to have a slit though). They have sold out of the one I bought for about 20 pounds.

I quite like this www.nobodyschild.com/clothing/dresses/midi-dresses/black-isla-broderie-midi-dress.html

Ghost have some lovely matching dresses for mother and child.

Zara has a solid selection of 100% cotton maxi skirts this summer. I have bought most of them.
