Not awful summer dresses

Has someone already posted about this?! Am stuck in a huge shopping centre and tried Zara, M&S, TopShop, H&M, New Look... have I missed the nice summer dresses?!

If you know of ANY that are vaguely not really skimpy, not mega frilly/girly girly... ok sounds hard for a dress but.. sort of knee/above knee...I'm very pale if anyone knows of good shades! Would prefer to be able to wear a bra if possible :)

Help! Going to BBQ at the weekend and can't wear leggings again!

I've got a couple of nice dresses from m&co. My main criteria is length (I'm 5'10"). I have this one .. www.mandco.com/floral-print-fit-and-flare-dress-red/1028766.html?cgid=10010090&dwvar_1028766_color=0120#start=29
I like sainsbos dresses too but they are always short.

I'm a 12 too but bought a 40 which is a 14 - I'm large of bust though and although the 38 fit me it was tight across the back. I'm also only 5 ft 3 so is on the knee on me rather than above.

That's lovely wax Cos sizes always confuse me. I am a 12, what size should I buy??

I have this and absolutely love it. I had to go up a size as Cos don't do busts but have had loads of compliments on it. Just bought the navy too - lovely crisp cool cotton.

Boden are not so good if you have a bust. I usually wear 12-14 but have to get size 16 at Boden to fit my baps in Blush

I find Boden sizes generous, and you can get lots of their clothes in different lengths.

What are boden's sizes like? And length wise can a short arse like me (5ft 2) get the right length?

Laura Ashley got delivered today but not tried it on yet, felt like good quality material though.

I have the Sainsbury's dress mentioned earlier, got it today. Really like it, I'm 5' 5" and it comes to just above my knees.

Thanks serf went to Laura Ashley and bought the navy maxi dress for my 50th (eek) birthday in two weeks! It's cotton and flattering on my 36F chest. So happy with it 😃

Watching with interest. I can't find anything I like either. Don't like the Sainsbury's dresses, too printed for me.

I hate the bare shoulder trend as well. I recently bought these two and they are lovely. So nice to wear something that I feel good in rather than just the usual leggings to run around after children! :)

Another vote for the Sainsbury's dress. Tempted to order it and try. It'll be easy to return.

I've got 2 like that. One black and one white. They are great loose summer dresses.

I have this dress and love it, the pictures are awful and make it look horrendous buts its great in rl, doesn't crease easily, comfy, cool and very flattering, plus looms a lot more smart and elegant than the sort of ditsy photos. That said I love khaki and those kind of colours for summer.

The only one I like so far on this thread is the Sainsburys one. Anyone seen it in real life?

I live in the Boden jersey dresses every summer. Nice length, good weight, small sleeve. So wearable and comfortable.
