... because I went for a swim in the sea today and let my hair dry naturally. But it NEVER does this if I wash it and leave it to dry, it just goes frizzy. Is it because it's wet for the second time today, or is it the salt?

Just to add, I only have the lovely curls from halfway down my head as I didn't go right under Grin

Doesn't the sea smell a bit fishy?

Isn't salt bad for your hair? I would have thought it was very drying.

Maybe just bring some seawater home (is that allowed? Or is it like pebbles?)
Then after washing rinse it with that or bottle it and spray Smile

My hair curls beautifully from the sea but the Schwarzkopf spray that others rave about does nothing for me other than a nasty, crunchy texture as you say, Eastern! I'm very interested in the results of your experiment.

I have now tried the Schwarzkopf spray and all it did was make my hair very crispy. yoda will give your idea a try later. janet will give your idea a try at the pub later, do you think real ale works as well? Grin

older YES!! No one saw me at all that day.

Will report back on the effects of yoda's home-made potion.

Thanks vipers.

Or your hair is messing with you and luring you in to a false sense of security, fooling you into believing it can behave. Usually happens when you have nowhere to go so no one will see the awesomeness Sad

You don't need to buy a sea salt spray.
Use Maldron sea salt or Himalayan salt dissolved in water and a squirt bottle from boots.

Add a tiny amount of hair gel to the water as well and a blob of leave in conditioner, and a drop of aromatherapy oil you like. Shake it up, and spray.

Hey presto a gorgeous hair spray. And much cheaper.

Ooh, off to Google sea salt spray! I usually have my hair tied up when I swim, so I've never really noticed it before. But today it was a spur of the moment thing and forgot my hairband.

Is the seasalt. Some curls love it. You can buy a seasalt spray to use on your hair when not at the sea. It sounds like it would work great for your curls.

My curls / waves dislike seasalt and fall flat and frizz up at the beach.
