Bit of a first world problem this...

I have been using the Laura Geller baked foundation which I loved. But they have messed around with the formulation and its gone all powdery and horrible.

Do you use a powder foundation?

Right - to update further in case anyone has the same issue...

Ordered the Belle Pierre in Maple and it's fab. Great coverage and no reaction. EXACTLY same ingredients as Lily Lolo so who knows why.

I use Max Factor Facefinity too. I bought the BM Ready and Origins Brighter By Nature and both are sitting hardly used in my drawer because I prefer the Max Factor one.
I'm the same as tubbs, if they ever stop making it I don't think I'll be able to leave the house again.

Just thought I would update further in case it helps anyone....

I am allergic to Lily Lolo. Gutted! It's beautiful on but every day after, my skin erupts. After some googling, I think it's the Mica.... Back to the drawing board.

So I've bought some more RT brushes....

The Boots offer has finished but I managed to get the core collection for £13 using code HQNEWCUST with free p&p

m.hqhair.com/real-techniques-core-collection-kit-face/10644478.html

It's only valid for new customers though.

HoorayGrin it took me ages too but finding the right colour is key.

Well, I finally fell in love with the old LilyLolo but as a previous poster said, I had to find the right shade.

I only stuck with LL because their sample pots are so cheap.

Anyway, in case this helps anyone, I have medium skin which tans well and needed Dusky. I am surprised I needed such a dark shade but there you go! I pop a bit of bronzer on top and use a moisturising base and the result is lovely and long lasting.

Result! A first world problem solved but makes other problems seem easier to deal with.

The retractable kabuki one is pink, the powder one is the gold one. I thought my body shop rushes were soft, but these ones are uber uber soft! Smile

Sleepy - is that the pink one? It's fab and soooooo soft, isn't it?

Apologies for the wrong info, they're not on offer in superdrug at the mo! But yes they are in Boots!

I bought the retractable face brush and a big face powder brush yesterday which I used this morning. Absolutely gorgeous. I can see the difference already, my face looks smoother, more blended and no harsh lines. I'm going to go back and get a couple other ones whilst the offer is still on.

Dame whoa ... Mind blown! Going to try that with my mineral powder now!! Grin

So tempted to order more samples but I have a pot and a half of Avon which suits me fine!
...but a new BRUSH ... hmm ...

Avon is excellent but I couldn't get the colour right, shame as the container is second to none when it comes to mineral powders.

I use Avon minerals powder, very good.

Out and about I use LA Colors mineral compact. incredible given the price! As the name suggests it's an American drug store brand but Beauty Base in London stock it (think they're online too) and others must do.
Round where I live I often see women whipping it out in the loos ... its a very local (West London- near Westfield or Ealing Broadway shops) cult product. Grin

Has anyone tried the Beautiful Movements mineral foundations? I actually bought some ages ago with the mineral veil because apparently it's less cakey than bareMinerals but I am pretty sold on bM (currently trialling their Blemish Remedy foundation which is great!) so I haven't got round to trying it. Would love to know if you've used it. I'm really tempted to try the Lily Lolo stuff too!

I also like Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish mineral foundation, but it doesn't last very long (maybe I'm to heavy handed). Must try lily lolo too sounds good and I'm always on lookout for a fabulous foundation.
I like the idea of that spray on foundation (Diorskin) but I know, in my haste in the mornings, I'd probably have it everywhere, face, hair, the wall! :-)

Sounds good..I'm convinced as I'm always on the hunt for the holy grail foundation! So went to the website and couldn't not decide what colour I would be. I'm a Tan in BM if that helps.

Pretty sure the Real Techniques brushes etc are on offer in Superdrug ATM. 3 for 2 or something like that. I might pop in tomorrow and indulge. I have Body Shop brushes which are great but they're starting to look a bit tired now.

I love lily lolo.

And the fact that I can mix a little of a slightly darker shade from a sample if I've been out in the sun.

It really suits my skin. I've been using it about 4 years now. The trick is to swirl and tap the brush, then buff in circular motions, both clockwise and anti clockwise, for a good few minutes.

Dh used to work near a stockists, but he doesn't anymore Hmm, so i suppose I'll have to order online when I need some more.

Candy Cane or Popsicle are good if you're medium beige in BM.

"In the buff" or "Cookie" might suit you Whip.

I would like to try Lily Lolo, what colours should I sample if I am medium beige in BM?

I hate LL, it breaks my skin out and none of the colours worked on me. I use Bare Minerals.

Ok - will try some testers! Always thought I had cool tones but maybe not.
