Expensive underwear and big norks

So I went to Rigby and Peller and may have fell in love with the underwear there.

Has anyone bought underwear from there? If so did it make a big difference (excuse the pun)?

I loved the Prima Donna underwear.

I wear Prima Donna - Deauville from our local lingeries boutique and it costs me £68 (£100 at R and P is a rip off !!)

When I discovered the Deauville it looked as if I had lost a dress size and had a boob job . ( I am a 34D/E)

Bravissimo is fine depending on your size, but they have very little to offer a larger cup than F/G and wider back. (yes I am a barrel on legs)

The same with Freya and Fantasie, and I don't find the quality that good

Primadonna quality is on another level, but it's also the styling - you don't feel like your wearing a hospital traction garment - you feel totally sumptuous in their underwear.

You are paying for that experience mind! Grin

Jolie Lingerie have it 10% off for your first order too. So got to be worth a go.

Can you notice a difference compared to Freya / Fantasie with Prima Donna?

F cup here and agreewith all above.

I always wear Prima Donna - usually their Deauville style. I too order online from Jolie or similar but do buy one from a R and P shop every so often, to check sizing still right and try out any new Prima Donna styles.

Also been disappointed with R&P. I'm a 28E-F. I was impressed with their fitting service, but to be told that they only have 1 bra in my size (Conduit Street shop in London), is really poor. Went off to Bravissimo - excellent fitting service and LOADS of bras for me to choose from.

I liked the Couture one and the Olympia one. Am thinking you only need a couple of nice ones at that price.

Just had a look on the R&P site and the Deauville (which is the sort of everyday bra I wear) is nearly £100 and on the Jolie site it is £68!!

I forgot to say - I have bought in Rigby on 3 or 4 occasions and I am always disappointed with their available stock in my size - they never have the gorgeous colours I see in the Primadonna catalogue I get sent from Affair.

I can recommend the body shaper lingerie too, it's very nice.

Depends - there are two in central London and one in Bluewater - I only go for one fitting a year when I am in the UK so not really!

I did find the Jolie website. Think I might order from there or the other one.

Thanks for the info. Am quite excited now.

At R&P do you have to be careful they don't recognise that you keep coming back for the fitting Grin

My mistake it is Affair in Eccles

www.affairlingerie.com/

They are lovely, but on after occasions I have placed an order online only to be told I cannot have what I want. It irks me as they should just remove the item from the website.

I had good service with Jolie.

Hi,

H cup Prima Donna fan here! It's the only brand of bras that I actually wear. They have a day to day range too and their silk tee shirt bras are great.

DO NOT buy them at R&Peller - they ramp up the Retail price. Go there for a fitting, tell them you will think about the choice. Then go online to either Jolie Lingerie or Fantasy in Eccles. They do a mail order service and can order anything from the Italian catalogue.

They also have first purchase discount codes if you register on Jolie. Generally they are £15-20 cheaper than Rigby and Peller.
