Please can you link to it here???

I have very long, layered hair in good condition but I am bored!! My colour isn't right (had my colours done and she sad I am cool but I've always had lots of copper/red in it.) So, I've bitten the bullet and am going to Jo Hansford salon in London tomorrow for, what will probably be, the most expensive haircut if my life!! What do I do? Go short, shoulder length, blonde?? My youngest DD pointed out last week that I have 'stripes' on my forehead which is making me contemplate a fringe!!!

I realise it's hard to comment on someone you dont know so I'm really just asking for hair porn!! Inspiration please!!

Decameron - I did indeed!! Well remembered. And it was well worth waiting for! I lost struck on the W&A thread as I wasn't shopping and now I don't recognise anyone!

Had several people comment yesterday that it looked like 'a Rachel'..... not good!

Hi Petit, it's carciofi from the W&A thread. Your colour sounds lovely and natural. Did you win your no shopping bet with your friend and get the mulberry scarf??

I like Victoria Beckhams as it really glossy but my hair is too fine to look that good that long.

I would love hair like this fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/327/7/d/curly_red_hair_by_annabellthehippie-d33gje3.jpg so pretty. Sadly my own hair is light brown and dead straight.

I was there all day! My hair was so full of red from years of colouring and it just looked over processed. They applied two lots of colour remover (had to dry it off after each go) then a tint. I am very happy with the colour - its just a flat mid/light brown but its a good, natural base to move forward with. The cut, I'm not so sure..... a bit of a mullet is my fear. It's gone from being below bra strap length to being worriyingly like the 'Rachel' I had years ago....

Will apply lots of make-up and then attempt to post a pic!

Franca I've taken that pic of Natalie Imbruglia to the hairdresser's so many times, it's a lovely style. Pity I look bugger all like her :)

Oooh I'd get a big 'ole Afro ala 1972.

I'm mixed race with long thick unbiddable hair.

Long, thick and wavy with lots of body and all swishy and lovely,I don't really care what colour! Envy
Totally the opposite to what I've got - mousey brown, thin and fine which is limp and lifeless and sticks out all in the wrong directions and has never been much longer than a chin length bob as it just hangs when it gets long Sad

So now I'm between mousey with a touch of ash blonde or glossy bitter chocolate!

bea - I think I'm just a straight mousey brown but my hair does seem to pull any red from the colour if that makes any sense? I was blonde as a little girl but just brown from about 7. I don't know if I'm being too led by the House of Colour woman despite the fact that I didn't really rate her.

Is it bizzare to go to a swanky salon and ask for mousey brown??

Are you a natural redhead? I ask because I am in exactly the same position as you (though a bit older).

I'm a natural redhead and have had copper/blonde colours done for quite a few years due to vast amounts of grey. My hair is also quite long & layered but I want a change. I am due at the hairdressers on Saturday (not a posh one but quite capable local hairdresser).

I am hoping to find a picture to inspire me as I am rubbish at explaining what I want. I am wondering whether I should start losing the red in my hair and just go blonde.
