I’m excitedly looking at the possibility of taking DS to Disneyland Paris for his 18th birthday as he is a huge Disney/Pixar fan. He is severely autistic, has limited language and often communicates in phrases from Disney movies to get his point across although his verbal skills have improved a lot in the last few years.
He is toilet trained but still needs a lot of prompting and help to clean himself properly and doesn’t give us a lot of warning when he needs to go!
DS loves rollercoasters and rides, is fine with crowds and if anything is under stimulated (sensory seeking) most of the time so I think he would be fine in that sort of environment but I guess I’m trying to get an idea of if this is a good idea or doable. Does Disney have decent disabled facilities? He can walk but does have a wheelchair, (mostly for safety as he is a flight risk) can we use/rent wheelchairs in the park or will we have to bring our own? Unfortunately he is quite overweight as his diet is limited. Will he be able to fit on most of the rides?
Sorry for all the questions and TIA for any advice!
