What are you doing over half term

What are you all doing over half term? I can't find a single thing to do with DS. Swimming pool is open for 1 hour for public swimming and I can see from the amount of tickets sold it'll be too busy for DS for at least today and tomorrow. Local park play area is still under construction so that's a no go. All the things I used to do with DDs are just not suitable for DS. He doesn't like too many people so no swimming, no soft play, no interactive, sensory activities.
We usually go to the park and there are some others we could drive to but it's so cold. I'd like to do something besides that part of the week.
So just looking for ideas. DS is five but development wise is more like 36 months (apart from physically)

Slightly different here because DS2 is away for the week and DS1 and DS3 have EOTAS/EOTIS packages rather than attending school. Some of DS1&3’s packages continue outside of term times, so they still have some provision this week. That helps. It makes a huge difference for us. We have a couple of hospital appointments this week. I will take DS3 for pizza later in the week when DS1 is otherwise engaged with the EOTAS package (DS1 rarely eats anything orally and wouldn’t cope with eating out).

Expensive, but do you have somewhere that does private hire of a pool? DS1 wouldn’t cope with a swimming in a public pool but he has private hire of a small pool as a part of his EOTAS package.

Cheaper, although still money, so I appreciate not everyone can afford it, but do you have a sensory room you can hire within travelling distance? DS1 doesn’t cope with SEN sensory sessions, but we sometimes book an individual session at a sensory room as part of his EOTAS package.

Would DS take part in a rebound therapy session or horse riding with a disability specialist?

You may think it is too cold for DS now, but you could also look at sailability and wet wheels. In warmer weather, you could also look at adaptive surfing if you live somewhere near to somewhere offering that or you can travel.

Do you have a garden?

Do you have space to do sensory activities at home?

Can DS ride a bike/tricycle/scooter? Or would be go in a bike trailer?

It wasn't too bad until today. DS didn't finish school until last Thursday and DH was off for the weekend so I had some support. I was on my own today and the afternoon was awful. It's not his fault he just can't deal with the change to routine and I can't replicate what they give him at school while we're at home.
I managed to get him to the park which helped a bit, so glad we have nice weather for a couple of days.
I always feel so guilty that I dread the holidays, I never wanted to be a parent that didn't enjoy the holidays but the loss of routine is obviously upsetting DS and I want him to be happy.
