The inner workings of the LA. Do they meet to discuss upcoming tribunals?

We have a refusal to issue hearing upcoming in 5 weeks time.

The authority submitted their response but have missed out key evidence sent in after their decision to refuse was made (but received before they submitted a response); this new evidence is likely to show that DD needs an ehcp.

Is it likely the authority will meet again and look at the case again to see whether they want to proceed with the hearing?

Is this likely to be before the final evidence date is due?

TIA .

Generally, SENDIST don’t agree to requests for consent orders within 5 days of the hearing and you/the LA still have to attend the hearing, but LAs still sometimes concede within that timeframe.

@OvertakenByLego that’s interesting. I thought they could only concede up to 5 days before the hearing. It’s the waiting and wondering I can’t take!

LAs sometimes concede right up until the day of the hearing and sometimes the day itself.
