So my DD has just hit the 4 month sleep regression hard. It sucks. It really sucks. for a short while she had been doing 6 hour chunks for the first part of the night followed by 1 or 2 wakings after. On the rare occasion she would just wake up once for a feed then that was it. BLISS. She's now waking up more times than I can count and I'm wondering if she'll ever sleep better again. I know about the 4 month sleep regression inside-out but would really appreciate experiences from others who have either gone through it or are going through it. I need some sanity restored...please?!

Hi everyone,
Hope ur nights have been on the up! Since crap night we've actually had a couple ok nights, he totally shocked me by sleeping 230-720 th other night, heard him at 3ish but he must have decided to go back to sleep by himself, yay!!! Really hoping he learns th holy grail that is 'self settling' - he's had 6 months practice!

Zombie I'm convinced its farts waking my lo up too, the room does not smell the freshest at certain points in the night! X

Hi everyone. Back from la Bella Italia which was amazing and H-O-T. Sleep is still pretty crap so nothing new there. I suddenly realised that I'm not sure I should still really be on a thread about the 4 month sleep regression since DD turned 8 months yesterday Blush Think I mentioned we have taken the plunge and booked with a sleep consultant? I just can't see the wood for the trees any more and really need a solid plan to stick to from one person who knows what they are talking about. Just 2.5 more weeks to go before we start two weeks of sleep logs and then we can please please PLEASE godhopefully start to work towards improving things.

Maxies that's fab about your two better nights. Long may it continue!!

Hi Penguin ,
Good to see you again! I am glad you had a good time in Italy , I hope you got some good naps so you could have a nice Presecco and take in the amazing views!
Well our nights seem to be so random . Some nights she wakes up twice others six times or more ! I never really know how the night is going to go. Last night she woke up for a feed at 930pm but then slept until 230am so I feel so much better today . She wanted to get up at 445am so I took her into bed , removed duvet and pillows and let her play until she fell asleep again ( around 6) so I was dozing , could not physically get up that early ! It's amazing how a 4 hour sleep lifts your mood after no sleep the night before .
How is a everyone else ??
Penguin , it's good you have booked in a consultant , it's ok to read all about sleep training but I believe having support definitely helps as it's so hard and exhausting .

Ooo I thought the thread had died! We're still crap here. Although last week ds had one night where he slept from 7 - 6 with one dummy run! I gave him a bottle at 6 and he fell back to sleep and I had to wake him at 7 as we had to go out and I needed to sort his breakfast ect. It seems like every few weeks we will have one amazing night then back to rubbish ones. Last night I lost count of the wake ups and then he was up from 4-5.30 when I fed him to sleep.

Glad you had a nice time penguin! Fingers crossed the sleep consultant works! And my ds is fast approaching 9 months with crap sleep Shock
