I am with AOL and have had no end of probs.

Trouble is i still have about 4 mths left before my 12 mths is up. If i just cancell it will they still take the payments off my card ??

I have rung them today and tried to cancel but they just keep telling me to try different things and come up with all sorts of excuses to keep me there.

The main prob is that i either can't get connected or when i do it disconnects me again shortly after.

Would that happen with them on broardband does anyone know ??
I do like the screen set up of AOL, find it really easy, thats why i haven't changed before.

May be worth paying another 4 quid a month then just to be able to stay on.

Thanks Tinker

Think it would be solved if you had Broadband though.

i thought that. It does say 12 mths but i never actually signed anything. Suppose i ticked a box agreeing to it somewhere.

My computer is less than a year old, and has regular checks from my brother, so i'd be surprised if it was that.

Hmmmm i'll have to have another word with them i think.

nutty - I'm with AOL and had lots of problems with connections when I had my old computer. Got new one last week and have had none of the problems. Not saying get a new pc but could be a problem with teh modem (she says, sounding like she knows what she's talking about).

Would think you just tell AOL you don't want to continue. If you have signed a contract - which would be odd since it's all online - and that stipulates 12 months then, yes, guess they could continue to take the money.
