I want to buy a coffee machine for my mum for her 60th this summer. Will share with my siblings so budget about £200. I've got the Gaggia baby which i find quite hard to use - any other suggestions ?

He also asked me to say that Isomac make professional coffee machines so should be a good bet.

My DH who is coffee mad and has spent a fortune on a coffee maker, grinder and roaster would recommend something like this Isomac . It's a pod machine which cuts out the problem of the coffee being fresh enough and ground problem.

Have you looked at the Nespresso range of machines which are made by Krups, Magimix and Alessi? We have a Magimix one which we bought from Selfridges for about £200. They are really easy to use as you purchase capsules of coffee from Nespresso which fit the machines. You can purchase about 10 or so different types of coffee for them. We have tried most and have had no complaints. DH often has an espresso before heading off to work at 6.30 am! Here is their website Nespresso
