androbbob I got 2 this morning. Do you have the code for the general presale tomorrow? I had to pay £33 for the passport, but refused to £375 per person for the meet & greet photo session without the signed guitar.

Day 3 of 20 completed here and DD seems relaxed. French and biology were good and RE today went well. Some light revision for chemistry tomorrow and then one more on Friday will complete her first week. More interested in getting Shawn Mendes tickets at moment! !

No scenario which is in revision books will appear in chemistry paper tomorrow. The only thing I can suggest is it might well be something salty.Wink

The DC on here would probably thrive on the explosive chemical content on the inside of a cricket bag.

mmzz are you ready to do the honours on moving to our new home or shall I? I'm afraid we'll double up.

Good luck to everyone's DCs who are doing Chemistry tomorrow. Dd is very stressed about this one. She wants to do A level Chemistry and she's really worrying about this one. She doesn't worry about Biology so much and she's not planning on continuing with Physics so that one doesn't stress her.
Lots of tears this evening with bits she says she's not confident with. But I've spent time to sit with her and talk it through. I'm hoping that, along with lots of hugs, have calmed her.
Dp doesn't seem phased by any of this going on. It's always me that does the worrying and support.
Will be glad when it's all done.

@BlueBelle123 - tell him no one ever tells the truth after an exam! Either they're falsely modest (not cool to do well) or they over claim. The best advice I ever got was to make a sharp exit and not talk to anyone. Can't go that these days with social media though.

On the random chemistry in everyday life DS1 suggests farts and smell feet. He is such a boy.

& he has been poorly Bluebelle, so it's natural to feel glum.

DH suggested that DD should watch something funny for half an hour, so I did my Fantasia Dance of the Hippos routine across the kitchen. Apparently he meant something on TV!

One of my colleagues has a new born and is trying to deal with infant school appeals. It's quite hard not to harrumph and say "Just you wait, you think it's stressful now, roll on another 11 years!"

The funny thing is DS said to one boy who was saying how easy the exam was oh what did you put for the 5 marker and the boy replied Oh I didn't do that Grin

Poor DS! He just told me that he woke up at 2am last night and is so much on autopilot, and used to feeling tired, that he got out of bed and started to put his uniform on. Then he woke again at 5am, thinking that he was going to be late for his exam (which wasn't until after lunch today)

According to DS3 every exam he's ever taken has gone 'really well!' Hmm The mixed bag of results beg to differ.

Bluebelle just tell him that some Teenagers are like sheep and if one says it's easy, the others all follow (but some of them are crossing their fingers behind their backs hoping that no one remembers that they said that when the results come out!)

Bluebelle - remind him that its all gamesmanship and you have to take what they are saying with a very large pinch of salt

Cherryburn Oh I agree its just so out of character he's always so cheerful, I think its the exam stress showing even though he won't admit that he's stressed in the least Smile
