Ladies, can I ask you for your advice, as seasoned nail biters!
Our buyer had her survey, mortgage approved etc, estate agents kept saying to us “she might want an electrical report” doing – well today they have said it’s a condition of her mortgage… now this is for a fairly new house with no electrical changes on it, less than 25 years old.
I queried with the estate agent whether this was a really a req of the mortgage, she would double check (didn’t sound like it was – don’t you only have to do this if your renting it out?).
They wanted us to pay for it!!
Now I wouldn’t mind, but its £150 plus VAT, and what are they going to ask for next I ask?!
I have gone back to estate agent saying double double check its even necessary, if it isn’t then she can pay for it herself, if it is and a part of her survey conditions, then OK we address (but even then she should pay for it herself really – like we had to with our survey?)
I just want to move!!!!!! Any advice?
