Best maternity leggings?

I'm going to be whale like in winter this time and am thinking I'll be comfy in dresses and tights, and leggings. I had leggings from H &M last time but they weren't very stretchy, and got holes very quickly.

Any recommendations?

I've given up on finding some. Wad an 8-10 before pregnancy and wore them all the time. Now I can't find any which stay up and I don't feel lumpy in

I've been very happy with my mothercare ones. Have full length and cropped and they're thick enough. £15 for two pairs I believe.

I loved my M&S maternity ones I also have long legs and they were lovely and long and thick.

Really good price as well if I remember

H&M are the best I've found. I got a size larger than normal as my normal size was a bit see through. They come nice and high over the bump.

I've also got Topshop ones - they were great in early pregnancy but they sit right in the middle of my bump now (39 weeks) and have done for a while, even though they are maternity, so they are really uncomfortable. They feel like they are pressing on baby.

I found the new look ones were quite shiny. The ASOS ones were totally see through, I may as well not have been wearing any bottoms, so they went back.

I bought a two pack over the bump leggings from New Look and actually don't like them much - not very comfortable I don't think. They don't seem that stretchy around the legs but good around bump.
I'm tempted to just get some normal ones in a size or two up!
I will also be massive in winter as I'm due Christmas week!! Leggings, tights & those oversized jumpers will be my fave I think!

I have been mainly wearing dresses and leggings throughout. I have some non maternity leggings I already had, some maternity from eBay that were very cheap and recommended on here, and some Red Herring maternity over bump leggings. The Red Herring from Debenhams are the best quality and comfiest by a mile, though they were the most expensive. Not see through at all. The eBay ones were specifically advertised as not see through, but they're the most see through of all the ones I own!

Hi there,

Once M&S a size-up got too diggy around the what used to be my waist, I went for:

Debenhams Red Herring Maternity Leggings in black - very soft, but got a random hole (on a non-rub area) very quickly. I'm wearing them today (the hole is tiny, but annoying) and they've lost a lot of their elasticity so aren't providing much/any support or staying overbump.

M&S maternity leggings in navy - these are better quality and going-strong (a bit long though, even in regular length)

M&S maternity black leggings with jodhpur styling - these look good and are nice and thick and supportive, but they have a dropped-fake-waist (below the overbump stretchy bit) which nobbles me right on the bladder so aren't very comfy.

Another vote for ASOS! I got a two pack of 'full length' but they are quite long - I'm 5'7 so if you're shorter I'd say get the short length version. The material is thick and they come right up over the bump - really comfy. Worn and washed lots and still looking good!

M & S go over the bump, nice and long for colder months and excellent quality. Can't fault them.

Another vote for ASOS, very comfy and good quality (although have only just bought mine so not yet washed!)

I need over bump. I have normal M and s and can't bear them round my middle or under bump. I will look at new look and peacocks as have those locally. Last time I put two stone on from.a size 12/14. This time I'm a bit heavier to start with.

I was the queen of leggings during pregnancy! I lived in them and owned about oh a hundred pairs.

H and M were so tight fitting even in a larger size. I was an 8-10 and had a neat bump till last 6 weeks and even the Largest size would pinch! Baby did not like.

Best ones I ever had were from New Look and Asos. The stretchy over the bump ones. Looked and felt lovely. Cheaper brands just looked scruffy and fell to bits after a couple washes for me personally.

I found ASOS ones good too. Decent thickness of material, and the over-bump bit stayed over my bump without being uncomfortable.

New look are good. I'm going to be a whale in winter too!

I found matalan leggings to be really comfy and still fit me perfectly at 39weeks. They are a soft material too.

Peacocks did really comfy ones. My weight was fine and I had a pretty neat bump my whole pregnancy but I couldn't bear the feeling of a waist band on or under my bump, so preggo leggings were required.

I'm in Asos Leggings and I've got some Dorothy Perkins leggings that are a bit thicker.

I prefer the Asos ones as they are very stretchy and accommodate the growing bump!

I think it depends where your weight goes. I just got normal m and s leggings in a size up and they are still doing fine at 39weeks. Have worn them constantly. Also I'm medium to small in height so don't need the maternity ones to cover bump they do anyway! Not too thin either
