How often do you thin about God/your faith?

I'm just wondering how often other people think of their faith.

Is it constantly on your mind, or every hour or so, of is it something you never really think about?

I think it is often normal to think of god most often when you are out and close to nature - it tends to be when I am on my own and don't have a million other things calling for my time. Any time you can stop and take stock can't be a bad thing.

On a normal day for me morning and evening - when I can set my thoughts for the day in how I would like to shine as a light and evening to think about where I want to reflect / seek help.

I think the series referred to above was The Big Silence - 12 parts and all on Youtube - how a handful of people try to weave silence and contemplation into their lives. With really interesting results.

Thanks for that Pans, I only saw one episode but enjoyed watching that. I found it interesting watching something valuing silence and stillness. Especially in the modern world when people seem to find kudos in terms of how busy they are.

I think I might look it up.

I am not a christian, nor do I believe in god, but I do spend every day for some spiritual reflection and think about these things several times a day.
The Earth and Universe are magnificent and glorious, the past few mornings I have woken to an ever lighter day and the thought of the earth tilting to bring this about sends shivers down my spine.
I feel a connection with the earth and with humanity and new spring growth neverceases to amaze me and fill me with joy.
I have a window ledge that I use to acknowledge important seasonal events, the winter solstice, the spring equinox, and I place vases of seasonal flowers and herbs to mark the passing of the seasons, noting the same changes that humanity and all life have witnessed since it began.
I light a candle to allow me to focus or to celebrate, or to allow my thoughts to distill and think of others, - the passengers and relatives of the missing malaysian airline for example.

Although I don't believe in any god, I do believe in humanity and my spirituality is important to me.

Atthestroke, I think that in our spiritual moments we feel a connection between ourselves and others, through the ages. There is a timeless element to it, but also an awareness of the passing of time. If that makes sense.

I think about God in a similar way I think about my children. They're always buzzing around in my head or at the back of my mind. I find my thoughts drifting off one direction or another in relation to them, as I carry on about my business each day, like when I drive the car, as I wash up, when I read an article, just all the time.
