An old cement mixer which worked but wouldn't win any beauty competitions

DH wanted to take it to the tip. But if someone wanted to pay me £1 to take it away that would be good.

Sold it for £80.00, they were fighting over it and the bloke turned up in a Vectra to take it away .

He came back again with a trailer!!!!

Thanks SueW (i think) I was photographing the dress in the evening and the dress isn't a garish pink, but a very delicate rose pink so it was really hard to get the colour across. The walls in my study are blue so maybe that effected the photo as well.

I have loads of clothes to sell so am thinking of buying a mannequin to model them on.

But it was my first attempt, and the clothes were just sitting there so i will not moan at £85+. We live and learn.

I have been buying and selling loads on ebay recently, it keeps me off mumsnet!

Just got a huge bundle of clothes for ds2, for £1, and felt so guilty I sent her some more money!!

Also have been dealing with some fab sellers, who keep giving me freebies.

Have bought some stuff which I didn't like that much and have sold them for a profit.

I am able to sell stuff for a lot more than if I took it to the 2nd hand shop, but I give my fair share to charity, etc. I don't bother listing things for £1

Exactly, they weren't special tickets or anything, just entry! I found out I was pg so put them on ebay, was the first thing I'd sold as well!

I sold two complimentary alton towers tickets (I had complained) for £70. It only cost £20 each to get in at the time and the papers were full of the buy one get one free deals. Thought it was a bit bizarre!

Twinset and pearls, I think you could have had a better pic for your dress you were selling - it looks blue rather than pink tbh.

My purchases arrivrd today, bought two dresses, a very hippified embroidered boho chic dress for £4.99 that my dd adores. Ana a very prim and proper marks and sparks party dress, navy polka dot with smocking. That was £4. Both real bargains.

Also by the time my own stuff had closed on ebay I had made £85, not bad as my ex bought all the clothes and I have an attic full of them. Almost makes up for the all the maintenance he hasn't paid.

my best selling item was an old Girl Guide Album - went for £31 - apparently that particular year they produced less and so it was worth more!

I found some new fabric remnants from Designers Guild and Cath Kidston at a bootsale they were 50p for each remnant and were just enough to make a cushion. Bought loads and sold three lots (£1.50's worth) for £51.00.

I got a twin mountain buggy off ebay for about £120 - it was a couple of years old, but has been brilliant - really good value for money.
