Finally made it!
Hope everyone is ok, how are you and yours @Mummylin?

Has been a bit of a whirlwind somewhat, feel like I'm spinning too many plates and my body has been in the wars.

Last week I had my urodynamics test at the hospital so that they can see exactly how badly my pelvic floor is performing. My personal history means I find these things very difficult to deal with and even though the medical staff were very pleasant, it was as bad as I expected. It was both uncomfortable and undignified but it confirmed what they had been told. A report will go to my gynaecologist and they'll decide what they need to do.
Insomnia has been rubbish, regularly awake after only 4 hours of sleep which might have something to do with the next bit.
I left for work on Monday and managed to trip and fall flat on my face in the middle of the road by my house. A chap helped me up, didn't even see his face and I assured him that I was fine, just embarrassed. Meanwhile my hands were on fire and both scraped and slightly bleeding from the gravelly surface. The bruise on my knee came later. The only bit that makes me feel better is that it wasn't as bad as when I fell and scraped my arm in Blackpool.
I am turning into my mother- we refer to her holidays as 'places she has fallen over'!

In other news, my nephew is being released from prison soon. It's been a very long time and we are all unsettled by it, but trying to support Dsis who is both anxious and excited.

DD is cracking on with her swimming lessons, am looking forward to seeing her progress soon.

My big birthday is on 27th. Yesterday I applied for my 60+ travel card, will save me a fortune!
DP has made lots of plans. A group of 9 of us were supposed to go to the Traitors Experience last weekend but they cancelled the day before citing technical difficulties so we've rebooked for Whitsun weekend. We are away overnight next Saturday, he won't tell me where, and something else is afoot for Sunday. My best friend is taking me for a spa day on my actual birthday and of course we are off to Crete for 11 days the following week. I feel very blessed.

Starting to get some plans in place for the Australia trip next year and have provisionally made some bookings now that Dsis is committed to coming. Her and her DP will be there for a week (sandwiched between a week in Japan and a few days in Singapore). My cousin and I will fly up there from Melbourne to meet them in a coastal place called Townsville, DP and I really liked it when we stayed there.
We will be there for 3 nights and then all fly down to Airlie Beach for the Easter weekend. The accommodation is quite pricey there because it's the school holidays but I don't mind because I won't have any accommodation costs for the first fortnight that I'm at my cousins house. My cousin is wary of staying with 'strangers' and I think Dsis is a bit too extrovert for her to share with so I have booked our accommodation separately. I'm sure they'll all get on brilliantly though. The rising price of diesel means that her DH is unlikely to drive their motor home up to meet us there sadly.
From there we will all fly to Brisbane and stay overnight before parting company. I'll be going to meet DP in Shanghai.
All I need now is for my pension payments to start. There's a much publicised backlog with at least one of them...

Went out for a belated Mother's Day meal with DD, so nice to just relax and not cook!
DS was on a cruise celebrating his GFs 30th birthday. They had a great time, she was a little seasick at first. Came home just in time for a lamb roast on Easter Sunday. Following a tip from Dsis, I roasted my parsnips in the air fryer!
