We have been asked by the team at FabLittleBag, to find 500 UK female MNers (including 150-200 of their teenage daughters) to put their – well – fab little bags to the test when disposing of tampons out and about and at home and to share their feedback on MN.

We are looking for 150-200 of the testers to have a teen daughter (or daughter at home) to also try the bags and report back via their mum. You can apply to try them yourself, for your daughter or for both of you. All testers need to be regular tampon wearers, and ideally folks who struggle with the disposal of tampons: - perhaps you’re fed up of not finding a suitable bin when out and about, are fed up with having to use loo roll and nappy sacks or even always flush but would like to bin them instead?

The team at FabLittleBag say – "our new bags use clever finger loops to make tampon disposal easy, discreet and hygienic. The biodegradable bags are opaque and seal closed. They provide confident disposal every time, anywhere. We believe they are the best solution to tampon disposal. Period.
They come in a handbag pack of 5 perfect for ensuring confident disposal when out and about, and a bathroom pack of 20 to keep at home next to your tampons. You top up your handbag pack from your bathroom pack as needs be".

FabLittleBag's are available now at Waitrose, Ocado and //www.fablittlebag.com – plus they will be available at Wholefoods from March. Bathroom Packs of 20 bags £2.99 and the re-fillable HandBag Pack £1.99 includes 5 bags for on the go use.

If selected testers will be sent both a Bathroom Pack and a HandBag Pack to get the full FabLittleBag experience – worth £4.98, and asked to try them during their next monthly period.

We'd then want testers to share feedback on a thread on Mumsnet about the concept, the ease of use and overall thoughts. You will also be asked to complete a survey about your views on the bags. If your daughter also takes part, they will need to complete a separate survey (or you can for them).

NB we're expecting this project to last a few weeks – we're looking for feedback to be all in around mid-April - note - this is a tampon disposal testing trial - so please only apply if you will be using tampons some days during the testing time frame and able to share the feedback.

Selected testers who add feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where two winners will each win a £100 John Lewis voucher.

If you’d like to take part, please add your details here and we will be in touch with those selected soon.

Thanks and good luck

Oooh, DD1 and I have just got ours - she'll have to wait to test hers as her period's just finished, but I am mid gush, so up for it! Grin

Mine arrived today. Am hopefully mid flow in my final period before pregnancy (IVF is a go-go), and what better way to celebrate than some posh bags for my used tampons Grin

Mine came today
Initial thoughts are good. We have sanitary bins at work but no bags and also not on mains sewage so they're being quite hot on not flushing
But the bins are foot operated and wedged down side of loo so trying to hold a used tampon whilst wrapping it in loo roll as to use the bins you have to stand up... It's not easy!!!!
I like the idea I could pop it in the bag, put the bag on top of sanitary bin while I sort myself out then I can operate foot pedal bin once sorted
The bathroom pack is good, I like it says tampon disposal so people could know and use them plus if I was at someone's house with an open bin, would rather use them than see through nappy type bags

Oh and photos with my hand for size. They're small, v v thin but quite strong material. You could fold it to maybe an inch square if not smaller

Mine came yesterday Grin. Luckily I'd just started my period so could put them to good use. Our downstairs toilet has a macerator so can't flush tampons (even if I wanted to). These are great to have in there for guests and myself to use - we have a bin but a pile of dog poo bags isn't a great look!
I liked the one handed finger opening design - very handy. I didn't like the sealed strip - tricky to pull off. The size was great - but only big enough for a tampon and applicator - you couldn't really use for a sanitary towel.
The refillable bag you can slip in to your handbag is a great design - I think this will be really useful (I usually carry dog poo bags - I'm happy to wrap in toilet paper where there is a bin but not if I have to take the used tampon away to dispose of elsewhere).
All in all I would probably buy this product - I would only need to use a few a month so although the price seems a little high they would last a while.

So pleased with these! Went to hospital for an op and was waiting in my room. Period starts getting worse and I flood (perfect bloody timing) and I went off to the loo which was attached to side room
Toilet roll is those one sheet things so couldn't have wrapped anything in that, open bin, no bags and no sanitary disposal
Had packed makeup bag with the travel pack ones. I use applicator tampons and the bag fitted the used tampon and applicator in

I forgot to post on here my bags arrived, completely confused me as to what I'd ordered? Sat racking my brain instead of just opening the parcel. Anyway they arrived 1 day to late, I had just finished my period so another 4 weeks to wait to review these. Although I have had a lesson I had no idea you should flush tampons oops Smile x

Really like the packaging and design.

The thickness of the plastic is good and I like the sticky strip too. I would keep a couple in my make up bag for sure.

People have said about the price, but I would pay it. My periods are quite short so I wouldn't need tons which helps.

We have a French house which is rented out and you absolutely can't flush tampons there. We provide nappy bags so no excuse for flushing. If these were a little less expensive then I'd provide them instead because they're much prettier and people would like them, but the number we'd need would make it too costly.
