The Yodel man has my remote control and I have his dooda

Delivery signed for at 12pm.

I ran to the door with the remote control in my hand as experience tells me if you don't get there fast they leave.

So, opened door, he handed me box. Put box on floor. He handed me the signing thing so handed him the remote control so I could hold and sign signing thing

We said thank you. Shut door. Walked into living room and realised I wa holding signy thing and he has my remote control

I thought he'd realise and come back but it's nearly 9 o'clock when they finish for the day and he hasn't come back?

How do I get my remote control back? I emailed yodel to explain an got a automated reply saying my parcel has been delivered and signed for?

Yes I know that but you've got my remote control, wankers, and I can't change the channel without hassle Grin

Bwahahaha! GrinGrinGrin

From the signature you did they should be able to work out which van/driver is responsible.

Try tweeting them in the morning?

Ha ha ha ha ha.

I wonder if he realises where he left his dooda!! I'm imagining him searching high and low for it. He probably hasn't even twigged that he's swapped it for your remote control ha ha.

You do know you have a better chance of getting a respone by phoning yodel don't you OP?

BTW, there is a number to ring if you find a lost dooda from a yodel delivery person. (I wonder how many go missing for there to be a special number to call Hmm )

OTOH...ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Oh, forgot to add, those dooda's are tracked too, so they will find it eventually if you're too busy laughing to ring them I would definitely be too busy laughing ha ha ha

Oh I hope he went to his next delivery and handed the person your remote control to sign!
(And then accused them of stealing his doodah)
Maybe there's a thread on DeliverymansNet right now from a traumatised Yodel man who has had his Doodah half-inched Grin

My face hurts from laughing! The baby-hiding Muslim post and the fact you now have a Virgin box but no remote to use with it just makes it even funnier!

I think I'm going to call bullshit on this one. Delivery are controlled by the Saturn.. right down to the time of each stop and finishing time. If it is true by any stretch of the imagination.. find out the depot and give them a ring. He'll probably get sacked but never mind if it is amusing ;)

funny but the delivery driver would be in a whole heap of trouble. esp if like many now he doesnt have the paper version of the notes etc for people to sign and so he can carry on delivering stuff that day.

my dp worked as a van driver doing this for a while, and at first they had paper versions of everything aswell as the doodah but then they had just thw doodah and all stuff inputed first thing in morning it would tell them which deliveries in which order and the addresses etc.

oh and virgin are a pita at giving new remotes, they may take pity on you our virgin media repair man.did but they are supposed to charge you!

Looks like your box will be remaining a Virgin, OP, if the Yodel man's dooda doesn't work for it.

OMG. My poor DCs are being ignored and wondering why mummy is crying so hard. As if the doodah incident and thought of the driver getting people to sign the remote wasn't hilarious enough, baby shielding muslims and being stuck with a virgin box and no control has finally sent me over the edge.

How did I miss this amazing thread yesterday?? I really hope Yodel get back in touch soon - I really need to know what the delivery man thought when he realised he'd still got your remote control, OP!

Of course, you know what this means? He is going to have to knock on your door to get his doodah back, and that means you will be the only person on the planet who will ever have seen a Yodel man TWICE!!

I am now imagining a David Attenborough programme on Yodel drivers - these shy, nocturnal mammals who rarely venture into urban or populated areal. You will sometimes hear their mating cry (which sounds just like the click of a letterbox closing as a card comes through, followed by a vrooom sound like a van departing at speed), but actual sightings are extremely rare.

Evening.

Thank you for the reports about this thread. We've had a look and we think that we should give this a new home in Classics.

We hope you managed to get your remote control back, DrDance.
