Faint line on test 4 weeks after MC - is it residual hcg?

Had a first trimester mc that was complete by 9th/10th feb started on 4th or 5th and had two scans - one it was there and viable but too small the next it was not there anymore
I had some positive tests after but they turned to negative
I’ve had cramping pains in the last few days
I’ve done a cheap HPT due to feeling pregnant still weirdly and it was negative but I did an FRER today and there is a very faint second line

Can this line be the residual hcg? I realise these tests are much more sensitive
if it was another pregnancy it would have only been possible about a week after mc completed on the scan which seems too early

have had 2 chemical pregnancies and 2 miscarriages at around 7 weeks (one was mmc til 11/12) in the last few years

Ican’t keep buying tests I’m wondering if it’s all just residual hcg

Well the tests got darker ( I didn’t wait) then I suddenly woke up at the weekend feeling not pregnant anymore, most symptoms gone, and now tests are already lighter
I think maybe it was a new one and it will be too early to know
it’s just very confusing as I’d have had to have ovulated extremely early

@ohnoh We all know the painful wait! Hope you get the outcome you’re wanting ♥️ If you have any concerns about tests being positive still please make sure you see someone ♥️

Thanks
It’s weird having the symptoms and stuff but I think it is probably residual hcg I think ovulating that soon would be next to impossible
I am going to find it hard to wait a week! Sensible advice thank you

You need to of had a negative test before a positive for it to be possible it’s another pregnancy, I got pregnant after a MC without a period inbetween.
to save you’re money I would wait a week and test again, as you’ve already had a negative test where I am once you’ve had a negative test they won’t see you anymore.

Sorry to hear of your losses.

I would say so, most standard tests are over 25mg but the early sensitive ones at 15mg. After my second miscarriage I sat around the 20mg for months so would show on some but not others. hope that makes sense xx
