I need a kick start, I need to bond with my lovely big MOFo's, I need to eat, drink and be merry in person.

Who's up for a meet in July/August?

29th is looking popular - Littlefish - its a Sat you;re not going into shcool on a saturday are you.

Does someone want to email WWB if they have her email (Jackie do you have it?) - I don't want to stalk her if she doesn;t want to come but I'd like to see her.

Yes - I'll email her. Haven't seen her around for a while.

I won't be at school on Saturday 29th, no , I thought it was a Friday!.

However, I think that that is the day I am going to go an collect dd from my parents. She's having a 4 day holiday with them, while I get sorted for my new job . Just imagine, 4 days without dd. 4 days of lie-ins, 4 days of child-free time. WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO

I can let you know nearer the time.

Thanks for letting me know about this, Jackie - I haven't been around much and have completely missed it.

Would love to join you for a meet-up, it would be lovely to see you all again. The only week we may not be here is the week beginning 9 August but other than that I think we're pretty clear.

OK well as Dotty says she might be able to do 29th (don't forget its a Saturday) why don;t we agree that date then bully as many people as possible into coming...

Who are we missing?

Harrass Dotty
Bully Littlefish
Help Schneebly plan her expedition south
Find LMS

Anyone I've missed - how about COlditz?

Kew - 29th August is a Friday. It's 30th which is the Saturday. I think that either date is highly unlikely for me now, as I think dh and I are going to have a combined 40th birthday party on the Saturday and I will need to drive for 2 hours on the Friday to pick up dd from my parents.

Sorry.

Let's do two quite close together - ie. aim for one in October/November which I can then come to.

Dotty's been moving into a new house (hopefully), which I'd guess is why she hasn't been around for a bit. I'll point her here if I see her. Yes - 29th is a Friday.

I'm going mad then - Friday is obviously OK for me. Lets just Stalk Dotty then - if Littlefish is copping out then its likely to be your house Jackie - UNless anyone wants to trail down to London to mine?

Very happy to have it at mine again, if people are up for it? Also happy to go into London - would go by train, but presumably it would be doable? Bit nervous of taking DD and DS on a train on my own, that would be a bit of a first for me!

Kewcumber · 14/07/2008 13:10

Well lets decide exactly who's coing first - that will probably determine venue

Please excuse the butting in, but if you haven't also posted about this on Mumsnet Local may we graciously suggest that you do so? (Can you tell we've been asked to remind you lot about it?)

But away but we're not all in the same geographical area so it would be a bit pointless (unless you've got a "Fat" area!). It a meeting of minds rather than a local meeting!

OP posts:

JackieNo · 15/07/2008 12:36

lol Kew. Difficult to know which area to put it in, I guess.

Report
AbbyMumsnet · 16/07/2008 10:23

Suppose what would work would be to put it up on local when you had agreed a venue? Just a thought!

Report
Kewcumber · 18/07/2008 08:52

yes but then we'd all have to sign up to an area we don't live in... and we run the risk of some skinny local hoi polloi's turning up.

Subject to Dotty confirming are we on for August 29th then?

I think so.

Aug 29th is fine by me ) - looking forward to it! I can do London or Oxfordshire

pmsl at a "Fat" area - perhaps you should all come to me as I live in what until very recently was the fattest town in Britain! You'd be welcome if you fancied a trip to Lincolnshire Teeny house though which can be a bit of a tip so unless the weather was nice it'd be a bit of a squeeze

Kewcumber · 24/07/2008 12:48

Tiger you can also reassure your DD that DS has stopped biting and very littel screaming these days - almost fit for polite company in fact!

So are we not meant to post threads for meet-ups here then? Under the topic heading which reads "Meet-ups"?

We MoFos are a small and select bunch, Abby; we don't want no riff-raff.

29th is OK here, I think.

Kewcumber · 24/07/2008 12:55

Can anyone eamil Dotty to see if she's on. If she is then I would humbly suggest that Jackies place is a good compromise.

Our meetup is un-MumsnetLocal-able

I was a big Mo Fo once and I need some inspiration and would love to meet up with you all. I could do August 29th. If you want me. Especially if it were in London ...
