I need a kick start, I need to bond with my lovely big MOFo's, I need to eat, drink and be merry in person.

Who's up for a meet in July/August?

You, me, Tigerfeet, possibly Littlefish, I think. I'm going to email WWB too, as she's not around here much any more. Would be lovely to see her. I'll email you.

well she said yes before so I suspect she'll come if you email and remind her.

I'll try stalking dottydot, schneebly and eekamoose.

Hello bigmofos and especially Jackie. I shall miss you on Friday but sadly cannot attend in person. Kew found me and reminded me. I've had an eventful time of it this past week and now find myself picking up dcs after some hugely welcomed g-parent care on Friday. So sorry to miss it all.

I have a new plan for eating more healthily (aside from barely eating for a week due to stomach bug in the house!) that is designed to take into account different personal circumstances/likes and dislikes/attitudes to food.

If anyone wants to join me in this starting 1st September I would love to share - and see if it works!

schneebly - are you a dot com, or a dot co dot uk? I've just had a message undeliverable thingy back. I'll try .co.uk in the meantime, see if that works.

schneebly · 27/08/2008 22:13

sorry I am .co.uk I got your e-mail but I am completely stupid and cannot make it on Fri as I promised a man called Mr Owen (I think!) that I would sing at his birthday dinner at the Golf Club on Fri and I had forgotten all about it Sorry I am such a dumbass and quite gutted I am going to miss you all! I wasn't even worried about travelling down any more because we now have a fab sat nav thingy. Sorry Maybe I will make the next one...

Oh schneebly, what a shame (but very nice for Mr Owen). Maybe for the next one (I was looking forward to meeting your 2 scrummy DSs too, as well as you). Hope the party goes well.

Will email you TigerFeet.

I have had no chance to clean anywhere yet, as I've been doing a bit of work, even though I'm supposed to be on holiday. So it might be a bit dusty - sorry.

SOrry you can't make it Schneebly

Hello MoFo's, fingers crossed here too Littlefish.

Yes lets do another one soon

JackieNo I'm afraid I might be a bit late I have to drop Mum off at the station at 8.45 and according to Multimap it'll take me 3½ hours so not sure I'll be there for 12. I drive an exceptionally crap car so no chance of making much time up on the way!!

I have some dips and salads but struggling to get hold of the pecorino one - no aubergine available though I'm sure you'll be disappointed to hear

JackieNo · 28/08/2008 17:45

NO worries, Tigerfeet. We'll love seeing you, whatever time it ends up being.

Ditto for you, Littlefish - hope things work out, and you can make it. It will, I can exclusively confirm, be pretty dusty. I've spent some of today shopping for food for tomorrow, and the rest of it editing/sorting out queries on the work I'm doing. and so far zero time cleaning. But the welcome will be warm.

Is 12 the intended meet up time?

Report
JackieNo · 28/08/2008 18:05

ANy time from 10.30 onwards, Littlefish. Or whenever, really. Just to give me a chance to head out and buy some fresh bread and a couple of puds tomorrow, really.

Report
Littlefish · 28/08/2008 19:02

The plan is to meet my mum at 11.00 at the services just before the M40, so I should be with you about 12 - 12.30 ish (will have a cup of coffee with mum first).

The only thing that would stop me now is if dd has a melt down because she hasn't seen me for 4 days.

Can't wait to see her again.

Can't wait to see you all again!

What would you like me to bring? Do you know of any gaps in the menu?

Report
JackieNo · 28/08/2008 21:32

Fab - lovely. Um, no need to bring anything, I don't think. Maybe a pud? But really just you and DD.

I have Diet Coke. Actually. I just prefer the taste to the full fat version.

Report
Littlefish · 29/08/2008 15:11

So sorry I couldn't get there . I've just got home - it took 3 hours from the peartree interchange on the A34! It usually takes an hour and 10 minutes. We got stuck on the M42 as well and had to take a diversion which added about half an hour on.

What a nightmare journey. I hope Tigerfeet managed to get to you.
