Hi
The consultation on the SEN Green Paper closes tomorrow. I've steeled myself to putting my draft response online here edyourself.org/articles/SENGreenPaperconsultationresponse.php in the hope that it might spur others to send something in. The actual consultation has 60 questions but you can entirely bypass that and just send a direct email to the consultation team as I've explained here edyourself.org/articles/SENGreenPaper.php
It would be especially good if people gave direct examples of what happens when children are home educated and they have to go through the Annual Review for the Statement of Special Needs. I can only talk about this second hand because my Theo has never been in the system, but I've heard some horror stories of families being routinely referred to SS if they don't agree to the child being interviewed or the case sent to legal services for School Attendance Order threat if the family refuses to provide timetables/ curricula or demonstrate "progress".
