Dental pain

I'm on day three of sore gums - upper right hand side ones. When I eat, in particular acidic food, it feels like when you have an ulcer, but I don't have any ulcers. They keep throbbing a bit too, and one or two of my teeth in the same spot feel a bit tender.
I'm taking paracetamol and ibuprofen. And garling with salt water. Have also bought some oraldene as that usually gets rid of any mouth ulcers in a few days when I get them so figured it might help this. Anything else I can be doing? Its been about four years since I've seen the dentist because of covid etc and I'm not sure I can go to the same one because they wipe you off their list if you miss a regular appointment ( I would have had a regular check up due in the lockdowns but the appointments have been like gold dust round here and haven't been able to get one, not even for my kids)

I would try and get an appointment with your dentist. If you're in pain they should see you quite quick. It could be tooth decay in the root if you're feeling it in the gum above the tooth. In the meantime try some Orajel.
