Desogestrel

Got copper coil out due to the bloodbath period every month, I have it a fair trial of a year. Been taking this mini pill for 2 and a half weeks and bleeding every day. How long should I give it. Does it stop eventually?

I've been on it for a year or so, had a bit of a period at first I seem to remember, but then didn't really get anything apart from a really light period for a few days at new year then think again about easter.
Been fine on it (changed from Marvelon which had been on for years fine, as progesterone only pills are meant to have lower risk of breast cancer) apart from my skin has gone awful and spotty, though slightly better since I have tried to improve my diet and cut out things like chocolate :-(
However am now on the second week of what is more like a proper period, started off light as the other times but then got heavier after a week (sorry if tmi).
I'm not sure if it means it's not working as well now, or if it's just the erratic bleeding they say you can get, but to suddenly start after this long seems random, not sure how long to give it til going to doctors?

I done 9 months total on desogestrel pills and i bled continuously every single day. I wouldnt touch it again but it does stop for some people and 2 and a half weeks isn’t very long unfortunately. They say to give everything 3 months. Is the combined pill out of the question for you?
