Asda amend order and recurring slots

Hello,
Please can anyone who shops online grocery with ASDA help?
I’m new to Asda groceries.
I managed to get a slot and I booked it yesterday for next week Thursday 16th of April.
It gave me option to book recurring slot every week so I accept it.
Than I managed to find a slot for Friday 17th which would be better as always get delivery on Friday normally.
I cancelled the Thursday slot and booked the Friday’s. I though that the recurring slot would automatically move too but it did not.
I rang ASDA and they could not help at all, saying they can not change it on their end.
So I cancelled all of it and rebooked the Friday again hoping that it would give me the option for recurring slot again.
It won’t now as apparently that’s too far away ( 23th)
Also how do you ament an order pls?
I can’t find any option to add or remove more items..

I have just worked out the reoccurring slot system for Asda!!!!

I created a regular items shopping list.

Every week I click on this to place my order for the following week.
Once I have clicked on my regular shopping list I add the items and then go to check out.
It automatically places it in the next slot for me I then pay.
You then have up to 2 days before to amend or add.

I had a delivery pass with asda and a recurring slot. Every month I got an email saying "thanks for renewing your delivery pass" so I assumed it was a 1 month rolling. Turns out it was only for a year so I've now lost my delivery pass and my recurring slot and they're not offering them to "new customers". Very annoying. My own fault for not realising it was a year contract and renewing it, but still annoying!

@ROSCO80 New recurring slots are currently only available if you are registered as vulnerable with ASDA.

I think in the current climate they are not doing reoccurring slots anyway. They are also so only allowing you to amend 2 days before your delivery date so you won't be able to amend until the Wednesday before (15th)?

I think it's the opposite- you can't amend closer than 2 days before when previously it was one

I know this is an old thread so apologies but am wondering where you found the option for a recurring slot as cannot find it. I had a recurring slot and also wanted to change it to a better day.

Went onto the ASDA app and the “skip slot” button has magically reappeared. I did raise it in feedback so not sure if that’s why. I’m in the vulnerable category hence why I was able to get a recurring slot.

I have an order for 13th and you can now amend on the previous 6 days [last time it amendments were only the 2 previous days a couple of weeks ago]
I did it via their website though, not sure if it's the same on the app.

I have a related question; I have managed to get an ASDA recurring slot. It says to skip a slot if you don’t want that particular delivery but for the life of me I can’t find any button to enable me to do this. There is just one that says cancel which seems to cancel the recurring slot completely which I don’t want to do. I’m probably being stupid but would be grateful for any help.
Have also just had the same problem mentioned above, should have been able to edit an order up until 10pm this evening but the option to do so just disappeared. Have to say that so far I’m not liking the ASDA online ordering process at all.

Bluecattt, if you had already booked a recurring slot, then you have to actually cancel the recurring slot, (not just the order) before you can book a different recurring slot. Be aware though, that I've read online that some people have found that the recurring slot system isn't working for them, so if you actually have one booked, might be best left alone. To change it, once you have completely cancelled your original recurring slot, you just have to book another delivery, when you first click on the time slot, a window will come up and ask if you want to make this a recurring slot. You won't be able to do that with the Friday order you already have as you only get offered the option if you are at the stage of booking the delivery slot, not once you have placed the order. So you will need to wait for the next time that Friday delivery slots come up, cancel your original recurring slot, book a slot for the Friday and look for the "make this a recurring slot" message in the window that opens when you book the slot. Hope this helps and good luck.

It says now you can only amend your order 4 days before delivery day. Amend button is still missing. Does it just show up in the last 4 days before delivery date

I put in an asda delivery a week or more ago. as you only have a short time to complete this, and i wasn't exactly certain what i wanted i just put in random items i usually have, knowing i could amend it later. sure enough, 2 days before delivery amend became possible. so i amended, also adding items for an elderly self isolating couple nearby. i had advertently asked for substitutions on some items. and what happened? none of the amendments went through, even though the site had asked me to reconfirm my credit card, and checkout again. what is the point exactly of giving the option to change your order, when nothing happens. I am very annoyed about this. I have another order for next week, which I intended to amend when I could. If the same thing happens, I shall probably not be shopping at asda again. fair amount of lost custom for them, as in normal circumstances we shop there several days a week. i wonder if anyone else has had this happen.

@Karenaki I am pretty sure you are only allowed one recurring slot.
You are able to "skip" a week with no repercussions, as long as you tell them you are planning to skip it. so you could book a weekly or fortnightly shop and then skip if you dont need it one week.

I’ve had a delivery pass for a year but only just booked a recurring one - it showed up as option when booking one a few days ago, so I thought I’d try it - fortnightly.
Is showing up on the app under ‘recurring’, but is there a way to edit it, ie to 3 weekly?
Every ten days (1.5 eeekly) suits us, so I thought I’d try to book a slot for 10 days after, and make that 3 week recurring too, as 1.5 weekly recurring isn’t an option but if we had recurring slots 1.5 week apart but for 3 week recurring that would work. But am I allowed 2 recurring slots or will it only allow you one?

I have a delivery slot for tomorrow and tried yesterday and today amend the order and doesn’t let me do any changes. I noticed that the check out has been communicated to the bank though. I called the costumer support and they told me most likely is that I’ll receive the original order as the amends are not on the system, but they couldn’t explain why the bank received the update. I tried on website and app, with the same result

Yes, read the banner at the top. You can only amend your order IN THE TWO DAYS PRIOR. If your order is due on Monday, you can't amend it until Saturday

Yes thank you I know that but up until yesterday i was able to amend any of my future orders despite what the banner says. So clearly were other people.

I wonder then why I had been able to before yesterday instead of just doing the shop once and not able to amend anything until the two days before delivery Hmm
