Going into our second cycle TTC, stumbled across the SMEP and a lot of couples seem to have had success with it. Has anyone else heard of this/trying it this cycle? X

I'll be going into CD11 (Friday) and i'm doing SMEP for the first time. So far so good on the DTD front. I'm new to OPK's and still getting my head around them.

Me and my DH have always used some form of protection until CD8. Did anyone else feel like a naughty teenager when DTD without protection for the first time ever?

Welcome @titchy13! Hope SMEP is treating you well!

Absolutrly understand what you mean about first month ttc. After school education implying you'll get pregnant after any unprotected sex, many sighs of relief at negative PT in early 20's... feels so weird to be doing it on purpose now!

Please can I join the thread!!
This is my first month trying SMEP after an early miscarriage in October, so really hoping this helps us get our sticky one!
This is the earliest I have ovulated on any of the times I have used ovulation sticks so I'm wondering if it's sort of reset my system a bit!
Technically 1dpo today. And determined not to POAS until period would be due so I don't get my hopes up for nothing... wish me luck 😂

If using clear blue advanced would you take your flashy smile as positive or wait for the static smile as opk+?

AF arrived for me today! Quite relieved for my first proper 2ww to be over, did not enjoy that!
@gamechanger2019 I havent used clearblue before but let me know if you find out, I might invest in one this month x

Hi all! I've been watching this thread for a little while, loosely tried SMEP last month but going to try and stick to it properly this month! Currently on CD7.

@Gamechanger2019 I personally would use the positive one as the static smiley, I think the flashing is just to let you know that you are more fertile than normal!

So we managed Thursday and Friday but Saturday we tried but OH just couldn’t finish. This is a bit of a brutal plan :-( we’re going to try again tonight. I had another positive OPK yesterday morning so I hope I’m not out :-(

Yeah I’m going with static smile = opk+ which means day off for us 🤣 phew!

Im worried i missed it!! Positive opks were on cd 18. We just been too tired for sex and didn't want to force it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Afternoon ladies. Hope everyone is ok?
I'm back on the smep! Started CD10 last cycle, but this time we started CD6 😂 and dtd every other day still. Today is CD 14 for me and still not had a positive OPK yet, hoping I'll get one this weekend. My glow app is predicting ovulation as being Monday xx

3DPO...couldn’t manage the full routine but definitely did the deed more than previously so 🤞🏼 Any positives in December so far? If not I’ve bought 12 bottles of my favourite wine tonight for Christmas 🙌🏼
