Conception

First ever tww!

Hi all, so I'm about to start my first ever tww - well my app says today is my last day of my fertile window, so will probably have a cheeky dtd tonight! But my period is due a week Sunday on 26 April, so it's two weeks exactly from now.

Is anyone else at the same point in their cycle and want to join me? I haven't bought any pg tests as I only want to take one if my period is late rather than testing at the earliest opportunity - all part of my (trying to be) relaxed approach to ttc. I'm not hopeful it's happened this month though, what with it being our first try and me having way too much to drink over the weekend which was my fertile window, I'm sure it will have stopped anything happening!

Congrats Isla!

I POAS yesterday bc I was going crazy! It was negative, as expected as on 8/10 DPO but it did actually help bc it least I knew I couldn't know yet if that makes any sense?

I said To DH jokingly yesterday I'm off to the docs next Monday because either I'm pregnant (AF due Sunday at the latest) or mental!

I feel sickish, been retching at awful smells, and don't like my coffee and tea, but don't mind the smell.

Tonight I just properly burst into tears over the whole being either pregnant (unlikely) or mental (looking ever more likely!) Trying to tell myself my symptoms are left over from a stomach upset 2 weeks ago.

I can't do this every month indefinitely!

I think it's happening to us all! By being on here we naturally are thinking about it alot. I tested negative today but am not due till Saturday. Also feel like my body is changing and I'm convinced it's not my imagination

Looking I'm also 7dpo based on my opks and desperate to poas but know its too early. I don't usually get pre-af symptoms but am being terrorised by incredibly sensitive boobs with occasional itchy nipples. I put it down to different bras but even my faithful comfy ones are the same. If I sit and think about it I think I've got a bit of a dragging feeling in my lower right abdomen but that's probably projection. Definitely got a headache this am and I only had 1 glass of red wine last night! !

Arghh!!

When are you going to start testing, Chelle?

I'm probably going to go mad if I wait another week until I'm 14dpo but don't want to jump the gun. I think AF is due Sunday/Monday but, as things are only just coming back together after depo last June, I can't guarantee that my cycle is back to 28 days like it used to be!!

Congratulations Isla! :) Great news.

AF is due TODAY, for me. Had period pain yesterday and this morning; I've been cramping pretty much constantly for the last couple of weeks but this does feel more like period pain :(. I've also never had a positive OPK and the last couple of days I've got the strongest lines yet, which is weird.

remember AF due Saturday but I did a cheeky test this morning. Came back negative but I think it might still be a little early. I'm confused with the symptoms. My boobs/nipples are getting hard, like they're getting heavier and more dense and the last couple of days I've been feeling bouts of nausea. Am I imagining this?

I'm feeling so disappointed about the BFN but the box said that 55% accurate when taken 4 days early so there is still hope. I just have to wait until Saturday. Seems like forever remember - I might go mad too!

Loli I've also been having cramps for the last couple of weeks. It hasn't felt like period pain at all but sharper pains. Maybe it's the sperm invading that's causing tummy pains Grin Blush Wink

Shall we rename the thread first timers jumping on the mental bus?! If this is all in my head, it's scary that you can make yourself feel so crappy just through the mind. I do hope at least one of us is not imagining it! At least this time next week we should all know either way and can have 2 weeks 'symptom' free!

chelle792 · 21/04/2015 17:31

Ah mrs I wish I had two symptom free weeks. OH jokes that I have about a week symptom free per month. Can't wait though! Bloody symptoms... I've been threatening to throw up on and off all day. I hope this isn't in my head! I'm happy on the mental bus with you ladies.

I read that 20% of couples who are ttc conceive in the first month. Statistically one of us must be! I really hope one of us is. Doesn't matter who but it can propel us forward into the next cycle with some enthusiasm!

Lolipoplady · 21/04/2015 19:28

Haha great idea mrs!! I think that is a very apt name.

I guess we're all just paying so much attention to our bodies that we're noticing things that previously we wouldn't have thought twice about. I've been on the pill for about 10 of the previous 14 years so I've forgotten what the usual PMS symptoms feel like, which definitely doesn't help!

Report
Lolipoplady · 21/04/2015 19:46

I really want to POAS but AF last month was later than my usual 28 days so the same could well be true this month, especially given the period pains I've had. I don't want to get a BFN and then feel sad, but still hopeful that somehow I tested too early :(

Argh!

Evening ladies! Another symptom spotter here, never thought I'd be this bad. I've had mild cramps in my pelvic area/lower back on and off for a couple of days, my af cramps don't start until I actually come on so its not that, but I'm sure it's in my head, all these "symptoms" are. I wish I didn't have to poas on Saturday tbh, I'd rather just wait for my af, much less disappointing than seeing a BFN. I might wait and either just not drink Sat night or have one or two which I'm sure won't be the end of the world if it turns out I am pg? What do you all think?

Another one whose AF is due on Sunday. Also had big cramps on Sunday and Monday. (Stocked up on feminine supplies, as I was convinced she was coming, but was only met with the faintest bit of spotting). I'm going to hold off on drinks until Sunday just in case.

Sounds very promising MsCoconut

I, too, am loving the name change for the group. Had 3 beers last night and feel vv rough this morning! - only headache though

looking think one or two won't hurt. Imagine all of the women that don't know they are pregnant and still drink. How would you feel if you found out you were pregnant after having a couple? It'll do no harm but will you beat yourself up over it?

Report
Lookingforadvice123 · 22/04/2015 13:14

That sounds very promising coconut, would coincide with the timing for implantation bleeding! I've been desperately hoping for a bit of spotting as apparently I would see implantation bleeding between mon and thurs this week, but not holding out hope!

I don't know to be honest chelle. I don't think of beat myself up as I would only have a couple of drinks, plus I read on another thread that the foetus doesn't consume what you're consuming until 5 weeks? Amazing how little I know yet how obsessed I am. I'm dying to poas but don't want to fall into the trap of doing it every month, and doing it early. I think DH is already a bit Hmm that Ive mentioned testing before my period is due. But I wouldn't want to do it without telling him...

Congrats Queazy! Can I be cheeky and ask what test you used?

Massive congrats Queazy!! The first of our little bunch to get the bfp we all seek!!

I'll admit I did a sneaky poas this morning after DP went to work (at stupid o'clock) but, unsurprisingly, bfn. I'm 9dpo so probably too early really, AF due any time from Sunday onwards so probably ought to hide the hpt's for a few more days!!!
