Mine has to be 'The Elephant and the Bad Baby' - I loved it from being very small and still have it.

Black Beauty. I could quote the whole story, word for word at age 5 apparently. What has happened to my memory n the last 45 years, god knows. Hmm

I can't remember from when I was very little, but I loved the Faraway Tree stories by Enid Blyton, actually anything by Enid Blyton or Roald Dahl.

I think my absolute favourite is Fantastic Mr Fox, because it was the first book I read from cover to cover in one night. That or Danny the Champion of the World. Or Naughty Amelia Jane. Or The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Oh, so many to choose from!

A Book of Brownies by Enid Blyton. AAh, memories, me sitting on our brown sofa whilst mum hoovered under my feet.

Heidi or The Naughtiest Girl in the School; or All About the Bullerby Children by Astrid Lindgren, or Danny Fox by David Thomson, or the Teddy Robinson stories by Joan G Robinson.
