DD is 27 mths and walked about 8 mths ago then stopped, she has her own challenges due to low muscle tone and low weight, but we knew she could do it so sat back and waited... and waited.
She became the most advanced cruiser you have seen, able to push a trolley round the supermarket herself etc
The one thing I've noticed is my ds was early walker at 9 mths and he had NO sense of anything, he thought he ws invincible
Now dd can straight away do things like drop something and get it and get back up without help. DS used to scream when he lost his legs as he did not know how to get back up by himself.
DD knows about doors, glass, the dog, floor hazards, ovens.
Walking has totally changed her it really freaks me out to see this little person prancing around!
I know I am going on but for us and for dd this is a really huge thing indeed!

You'd know all about that Tigermoth I hope very much so too. Dh has never got over that "streak of lightning" incident in the woods

Great news. My eldest didn't walk till 22 months because of low muscle tone, so I can imagine your joy!

SoupDragon · 12/01/2005 10:52

Woohoo!! Both DSs walked lateish at 14/15 months and both were more independant walkers because of this I think.

Marina · 12/01/2005 10:46

Well done pifflet, great news. Dd has just started walking at 17 months too, it's wonderful when they crack it isn't it.

handlemecarefully · 11/01/2005 22:59

Piffle - that's just lovely to hear. Well done to your little dd.

SenoraPostrophe · 11/01/2005 22:23

bless her.

hoxtonchick · 11/01/2005 22:22

well done to your dd piffle . my ds walked at 15 months which isn't really late, but he had so much common sense compared to his cousin who walked at 9 months, so i understand a little of what you feel.

CelluliteQueen · 11/01/2005 22:22

Congrats. You must be very proud xx

JanH · 11/01/2005 22:21
