From what I've e seen today I feel ashamed and sickened. I do not support any violence or any large social gathering during a pandemic. However, after this week I've taken a media break because I just feel they are fueling and manipulating us at the moment and my mental health can't take anymore. I just want to see my friends and family and for my kids to go to school and for everyone to get along. I saw so much kindness during the lockdown and coming together and now we are broken and divided and I feel sad for the future.

This is exactly how I feel. It's really bringing me down - so much hate and anger when it's the last thing we all need. I think I need an internet break for a couple of weeks actually.

It's really nice that you are able to take a break from it after a week of hearing and thinking about it non-stop.

My entire 30 years of existence, systemic racism has affected my life and is something I have and always will be conscious of on a daily basis, sometimes choosing not to address it because "everyone just wants to get along", not to "make waves" or my favourite not to fit into "the angry black woman" stereotype . I wish I could also take a break.

I just saw a pic from the protests in London...of big black guy giving a 'fireman's carry' to a big shave headed white guy who was clutching his head in pain....to get him away from being beaten....it was a really affecting pic wish I could share.
