😡 need a little vent and possibly for someone to tell me that I’m massively overreacting and this is perfectly acceptable behaviour from an over grown man child! We have both been at work, admittedly he starts earlier than me at 7am until 2 pm, I work 8.30 until 4.30pm. Dh picked up ds2 (3yo) from grandparents. Ds2 is unwell with a cold - so much snot it’d fill the Grand Canyon! Ds2 falls asleep in the car on way home about 3.30pm, dh carries him in and let’s him sleep. I come home at 4.45pm, ds2 still asleep. I ask dh to wake him up while I go to supermarket for needed supplies. 5.20pm I return, ds still asleep. As I walk in the bag splits, shopping spread all over the drive. At this precise moment ds1 (12yo) comes to the door, the dog has eaten a sock and no joke it’s hanging out of his bum ds1 understandably refuses to remove the offending bum sock. So I’m gathering food items from the drive and trying to prevent the bum sock from entering the house. I shout to dh to come help who says he can’t as ds2 needs his nose wiping in his sleep and he’s busy. Wait a couple of minutes, shout for him to bring a poo bag or something to help me retrieve the bum sock before the dog gets in the house. He still doesn’t come. He then shouts that I’m always stressing and finally gets off his bum to come see the commotion. He then literally gags and runs in the house and leaves me with arms full of food and a dog with a sock hanging out his arse! So needless to say, I put my big girl pants on, pulled out the sock, packed away the shopping, woke up the snot monster myself and am now cooking dinner all while he complains that the dog is gross and it’s put him off his dinner just thinking about the sock! Are all men this big a babies? He seriously thinks his life is stressful 😡

Oh good god! Bum sock Grin brings back happy teenage memories of me and my friend taking her dish cloth eating dog for a walk down a posh part of town. I've never been so embarrassed and disgusted.

Your dh sounds like a twat for not helping you

“Are all men this big a babies?”

No. Of course not. But you chose one who is

This.^

I never find these threads funny I must be odd; if my dog had swallowed something and my husband refused to help I'd give him hell. Sounds like you want to make him a nice cup of tea and ruffle his hair the cheeky monkey Wink WinkHmm

😂😂 our dear departed dog once scarfed down some roast chicken so quickly he was sick, then ate the sick 🤢 in front of us whilst we were eating Sunday lunch.
Funnily enough it's my toddler that seems to have things hanging out his bum; I've pulled a hay/stick like thing out of his bum and an entire satsuma segment 😮

@StaplesCorner I think people are finding the dog scenario funny, not the lazy husband scenario.

Massively outing: our dog has eaten my pants. I never realised they were gone( he ate them off the cloth airer) until I went to pick up the poop from the garden- there it was, his turd embraced in pink laces

I’ve got to admit, the Chase was really good today. They won £40k, and the dark destroyer crumbled.

Your dh is still a lazy turd sock!

This has cracked me up! I hope you've had a couple of very large glasses of wine now. Bum sock is now my new favourite insult.

I once had a cat that ate some tinsel. Didn't realise until he had his sparkly arse right in my face.
He also ate some of a string bag (the sort that oranges came in).

Our Labrador eats massive size 12 men’s socks, incubates them for a few days then pukes them up. It’s then a frantic race to get to the sock before he eats it again. Socks that have been swallowed and regurgitated multiple times smell like DEATH.

Just to clarify, this only happened when twat ex-dp first moved in with the dog, and left his shit everywhere. All socks are now locked away and the dog has now helpfully moved on to eating spiders.

Bum sock 🤣🤣 sorry but this is the funniest story I have heard in a while!

And yes my DH doesnt seem to want to do anything either then when he does do something he complains that he "does a lot around the house" as if...

My dog eats an obscene amount of rubbish. I am currently on "pink ring" watch as he ate my daughters pink plastic ring. She wants it back so I have to examine all poos carefully. He has never eaten a sock though!

The offending bum sock!!!! Grin sorry OP, but I just cannot get that phrase and coupling imagery out of my head!!!!

And yes, your DH is a dick and you need to have words! If it's put him off his dinner don't give him any!
