AIBU?

AIBU not to let my DD year 6 go on her iPad half an hour before bed and not to let her have it in her bedroom over night?

Most of my DD's year 6 school mates are posting on Instagram etc well after 9pm on a school night. Whereas I insist my children come off technology at least half an hour to an hour before bed and leave technology downstairs. As I know if I didn't insist on this they wouldn't sleep/relax and may message or FT their friends to stop them sleeping.

Sorry may just be me but no screens anywhere in the house I can't see what's happening in them, wi-fi switched off on tablets so when a download is needed I can see if it's age appropriate, all sorts of parental stuff on the Wifi taking no chances with my children's Internet safety, I have no idea why children that young need a phone, they are not going away on their own for a weekend without you, as said by lots of people they are also too young to have social media accounts, I think parents who let their kids have these accounts should be pulled in by social services and given a bollocking, it's these people who have to go around picking up the pieces when something goes wrong, a massive safe guarding issue as far as I am concerned

I had an awkward (for me) conversation with a school mum yesterday about technology. She told me that her kids aren't allowed to play on their consoles/tablets during the week, only weekends. Very impressive I thought, except DH tells me that one of hers is on playing the same game as DH late at night.
I did wonder whether I should have told her, but it's none of my business.... is it?!

Just tell her next time it happens "you lifted your ban last night I see!"
