To wash bed linen and towels once per week?

Hmm wondering if I am unhygienic or about average. We all have our own towels and separate hand towels (I change these 2-3 times per week), Also, we all wear pjs in bed and I leave the covers back with windows open for at least an hour per day.

What does everybody else do?

people have different standards - that's fine so long as i'm not expected to live by other people's. i like my own just fine.

Towels monthly? Ick.

I think towels need washing more often than bedding.

However, providing things (and people) do not smell or look filthy then I don't really care what people do.

Every time I read one of these threads I end up being in awe of all you ladies who manage to wash towels daily. I do two loads of clothes per day, one when I get up in the morning which is usually a white or light coloured load and one at evening time which is dark stuff including sports clothes. I work full time and leave at 0730 and get back most evenings after all the evening sports clubs etc at about 830. Towels and bedding wait to the weekend as life is too short to wash after one use.

I am amazed when people in families of four or five people talk about 'wash day' - as in 'Monday is my wash day'.

I need to laundry preferably daily but at least every other day, and if I left it all to one day a week it would be a 24 hour job and I would not be able to leave the house! (and that's without doing my towels and bedding more than once a week.)

No set pattern...just when I think of it really.

Bed linen every other week unless soiled or otherwise manky.
We have fresh towels every shower/bath and I change the hand towels 3 times per week.
I wash a lot of towels! :)
