Which broth/stock do you use in cooking?

If you buy your broth, which brand/product is your favourite?

I never cooked with broth before but I want to make a rice in broth recipe, but what 'broth' do I use?!

I know - very basic question! Humour me please, I'm dumb when it comes to cooking!

I do make stock btw when we've had a roast chicken but I never have enough for how often I use it, so this is really good to have.

Mostly we use our own made stock but I also get a box of low sodium chicken stock from Costco.

If I am making a caramelized onion gravey I use the little Knorr pots which seem to taste jut right.

We use Knorr boullion. We were introduced to it when we went on a course to make gyoza and ramen and we always use it now. A large 1kg pot from Amazon lasts us about a year.

I just use Delia's recipe - strip down your carcass and pop it (with any bits of skin or gristly meat you won't eat) in a large pan with a roughly chopped leek, carrot, onion and celery stick (or whatever you have), plus some parsley stalks, a bay leaf and five peppercorns. Cover with cold water, bring to a boil, skim off any scum then simmer gently with the lid slightly off. I simmer it for an hour and a half, maybe two if I have time, then strain, cool, skim off any fat and freeze in 500ml portions.

I know "bone broth" cooked for hours and hours has come into fashion, but honestly an hour and a half makes a decent, tasty stock.

Kallo Organic stock cubes or stock pots.

I do make my own but not often, so I save it for dishes where it really makes a difference (like asian noodle soups where you need the richness of real stock).

I always used Knorr cubes, but am a recent convert to their stock pots. Taste better, and they're so much more satisfying to pop.

Never, never use oxo.
