Lego Advent Calendars, Any Good?

DS2 age nearly 6 has been lusting over one of these in the laminated book of dreams (Argos catalogue) for a good few weeks now.

We already have a veritably exquisite wooden advent calendar which I lovingly fill with treats and activities.

Would said Lego AC steal the wooden's thunder?

My ds would love one too. If you've got a wooden one that you fill up yourself, why not fill up with these

They're ok - used to get them for my husband, but I think the Playmobil ones are better value for money.

Me and my husband shared one last year. We loved it but we're geeks. My Santa Yoda still stands proudly on my kitchen window sil (with roughly 30 other Lego star wars mini figures). I'm sure a six year old boy would love it.

DS was 6 (just after) Christmas and he loved the Lego City one he had.

DS was 9 last year and had star wars one. He loved it but they are very expensive and I doubt if I would buy it again.

DS had a Lego City one last year and really loved it. I got it on offer at half price.

He is lusting after the Lego Star Wars one this year but I am not paying £25 so he will have to see if it gets put on offer anywhere.

I agree that the Playmobil ones are better price wise but as we have no Playmobil at all, and a lego obsessed child, lego calendars are the ones for us! Grin
