Woman’s hour sports woman of the year

Voting is open now to vote for the BBC woman’s hour sportswoman of the year I voted for Sharron Davies because of her continued support for keeping women’s sport single sex. she’s been talking about this for years and it must’ve been at some personal cost to her and it would be great to see her recognised.

Thanks for sharing this , another vote for Sharron.

Done

SilverSilverStreet · 03/02/2023 13:01

If I did this I don’t think I’d be splitting the vote as they could go in different categories. They are looking for 30 people.

The webpage says “We encourage you to submit only one suggestion.”

SilverSilverStreet · 03/02/2023 12:57

If I had a work email in my original surname and a personal email address in my married name I might be tempted to vote for both Sharron Davies and Amelia Davies.

I hope they mention runners-up as well as winners when the award is announced.

Voted Sharron Davies for leader. Probably quite important to spell her name correctly in case there's a Sharon Davis out there that you didn't mean to vote for...
Thanks for sharing the link OP Smile

Cailin66 · 03/02/2023 11:01

I used my real name and nominated Sharon Davies.

DPotter · 03/02/2023 10:59

Sharon as leader from me - in my own name

OttersMayHaveShiftedInTransit · 03/02/2023 10:56

Thanks for the bump - just voted for Sharon in the leader category.

What a strange way to do awards unless this is an initial stage and there will be a second round with nominees in set categories at a later stage..

peachescariad · 03/02/2023 10:53

Sharon go my vote too. Leader
